Hi all! :)
Our new product is released today: EJ Rita, a voluptuous and sexy character for Genesis 3 Female with a zombie alter ego.
She is very customizable both as a casual beauty and as a zombie. She has 2 body shapes, as a gorgeous girl and as a zombie, and also special options like: zombie body morph and texture, 7 face options for zombie face with scars, blood and shots in the head, zombie mouth with or without extra blood, and white or red eyes, and bloody sclera.
You may also create scenes with both sides of Rita as seen in one of the promos, and this makes her a very fun character. Hope you like her! :)
Get her here: http://www.daz3d.com/ej-rita-for-genesis-3-female-s
You can post your renders here, we will love to watch them! :)

Love her!
Although, I'm thinking the zombie character is more rever-like than zombie; similar in that they might be undead, but reaver's have the gaunt look, but don't decay, they might be a seperate species; I suppose it depends on the mythology of the story. I think it was the pose on the secong image, the zombie looks both very mobile, and very alert.
In the cart; I wasn't sure if I was getting the mummy item too, but as not, it looks like just yours (again
).
Rita and her undead sister, has a certain ring to it. :)
Oh thank you! :) And please tell what is a reaver and a movie in which they appear! We are very fond to horror movies. We wanted to do a zombie since years ago, it was very cool to do her.
In a TV series here in Spain there was a theory about that there are two kinds of zombies: the ones that run and zombies that go slow, and which ones are the most scary. For some people are the slow ones, but we think the worst are the fast ones. But in The Night of the Living Dead they were slow zombies and it was very scary :D
Yes, I didn't think it was really zombie-ish - which is good since I don't find zombies interesting. Would be good for various kinds of preserved undead (bog-mummies, ghouls, etc.)
We knew the ghoul type but we don't know if we know the reaver one, there are so many kinds of undead...
Well, she can be the kind that she has died or has a stange virus after 28 days or so :D
Nicely done! I like the textures. Does the zombie have a 'gore' less texture? Might be useful for other types of characters too. =-)
Reavers (I've also come across them called ghouls, but ghouls can also be something different) are synonymous with Fantasy, iirc; they aren't well explained in any of the stories I've read; they are not especially fast, meaning they don't have super-human speed; but they are like marathon runners, they just keep on going, except they will run for days. The don't decay, but just get more gaunt when they haven't fed for a long time - a bit like vampires are sometimes portrayed. They live in dark places, woods, underground, old ruins. The sun, I don't think has much effect on them, but I could be remembering incorrectly.
Zombies are much less scary as they are human - somehow infected or undead. Reavers might be a seperate species in some way. I'll see if I can find the last book within which they featured.
EDIT
I saw one book that portrays something similar, they were called Ghouls in that; it's a David Weber: War Maid's Choice (iirc); they were mentioned in earlier books in the series but didn't actually appear. Incidentally, David Weber writes more Scifi than Fantasy. In this book they aren't quite like the reavers that I was initially thinking of, but there are many similarities.
Thank you! :)
She has for the face, that can be without wounds. But not for the body . But with clothing or something it won't be too much gore.
The concept of the reaver is very exciting too. Yes we see Rita may do that play very well too. All this is very inspiring, thank you for telling! :)
'Reavers' are also self-mutilated psychotics from 'Firefly'/'Serenity'.
Which hair was used in the promotional pictures? My thanks in advance!
Thank you! We had no idea :) The series must be really cool, here they don't put it on TV.
The hairs used are our Desideria Hair (zombie) with gray color, and our Charice Hair (for Rita).
I've just tried using the Beautiful Skin product on your character, and it only affects the torso; I can post a picture, but when rendering it it obvious. Let me know.
And yeh, they appear in Firefly/Serenity, but they came relatively late to that party.
Well, our characters should be used with their own shaders and textures. We can't guarantee it will work when mixed with other shaders. The reason is that everything is fine tuned to work together, shaders and textures, in our characters.
But if you want to use Beautiful Skin on our characters, you have to do this:
- Go to Surfaces tab (Editor), and in the surfaces that you want it to affect, go to Translucency Weight, and click on the image and select "None".
Sure this will help! :)
I like lots of options, and it changes their look and makes them more versatile; I'll let you know how I get on later. Many thanks.
No problem! Then tell if it works later. Thank you! :)
Hi EmmaAndJordi!
I love your Atsuko character and I bought your Charice Hair but I passed on this one. Mostly for budget reasons so not your fault. ;)
One thing I found odd with the zombie version is that the scars on the neck and left arm have stitches which makes me think more that she's some kind of dark science project gone wrong than a regular zombie. I have no idea how difficult it would be to do, but I think those scars had worked better as optional "make up" and if it could have been applied to both versions it certainly would have added character to the beauty version. Maybe a suggestion for future projects?
Glad you liked her isidorn! :) In the promo Rita is also using Charice Hair.
The stitches have their story lol! There was an old horror movie in which a guy turned into a zombie, and as his flesh was falling appart, he used stitches to try to rebuild his body. It was an old movie of the 80s.
Ahh, the torso had a mask in translucency weight; removing that mask made it work ok.
BTW, love the character default, and with the flexibility of the other options; it makes it easier to produce siblings, or those of similar ethnicity. :)
Thank you! :)
When we did Rita we wanted to make a morph of an attractive woman in her 30s or 40s, something that usually is not found. We thought it may be interesting to have a character of this age range. Usually the characters that can be found are about 20s, or directly 60s, but not in between.
Love this! I'm new but so far I have been very very impressed with the work you guys put out. I am a HUGE zombie fan and probably have well over 500 zombie books. There are a huge number of types of zombie's out there, the authors pretty much tweak things however they want so they fit the story. The basics though are undead, eat humans, never rest and you have to shoot them in the head, Although in one book if you shot one in the head before it turned you would have to do it again. Most of them decay but not all of them.
Of all the books I have watched and movies I have seen, by far the scariest ones were the fast ones.
Oh Thank you so much! :) Actually all our products are made with lot of care :)
About zombies, in Warm Bodies they put makeup to the main character that is a zombie so he looks alive. And another example is Maggie, a movie that is not yet in the cinemas, in which the character takes 6 months to turn into a zombie.
Our favorite zombie novel is "I am Legend" of Matheson, a classical
I was able to watch a few episodes of iZombie recently, enjoyable and an interesting take on the Zombie genre, which I generally don't like; the idea is appealing, but the execution I tend to find is repetative.
They don't put iZombie on the Tv here. But they put Walking Dead and it's very popular
Waking dead is one of the best zombie shows I have ever watched. Probably because its more about the people than the zombies lol. Although there are most definitely zombies.
Yes it's a very cool show and very well done
You did a great job with Rita. The face is very distinctive and quite different from the default G3F. The Zombie Alter-Ego doesn't interest me, but it is well done also. Here's my test render (I always do one with every new character set I buy). It's just a potted pose against an HDR environment, but I think it shows how versatile this lady could be.
Nice job.
Fantastic render! We love it! Yes we work hard with her face morph, we think that she has a face with lot of character, she is strong but sweet at the same time.
Thank you for showing it the render acanthis! :)
Don't like Walking Dead.
I do, however, like the render; can't imagine it's the best place to stand in heels though.
How long will you survive the zombie apocallipse? LOL This is fun ;) http://www.amc.com/shows/the-walking-dead/exclusives/how-long-would-you-survive
Waking dead is
I've done this. I usually die pretty quickly because I try to save everyone lol
Just picked her up today, hoping to be able to play a bit this weekend.
This are our results: Emma lasted 6 hours, and Jordi got this "You were the 1st who died" LOL! But I told Jordi that it is better to die first than having 6 anguishing hours :D
Thank you for picking her! If you want to make a render and post it here it may be great! :)
