Who knew I had 127 required items unbought? Guess I should weed thru them . . .
Yes. How generous. I felt like a thief when I bought the PW Hacienda. And I love Lunardo! That's a slam dunk too!
My thought was: save it up for tomorrow and the weekend?
If you really want to spend something today, Daz Originals are likely the way to go: you need to own or buy a Golden Ticket to get the 30% extra discount on Featured Artists Stores, then you need a Debut New Item in your cart to get the 30% extra discount on Daz Originals from the Featured Artists Store, then if you have the 30 for 30 coupons, you should get a 90+ % discount on Daz Originals in your cart, the older, the higher the discount, at least as long as they are not hitting the $2.99 price floor.
Daz+/Premier coupons and tokens are able to bypass the price floor.
Nice :) Personally, in the past few days, I've been in the mode of "do I really need or even want this?", and my wishlist, first time in forever, started shrinking.
Not complaining, though. I've spent enough on "build your own flash sale" (and I'm still excited about the stuff I got! not that I rendered much of it yet...), and then have been spending some od $10-15 here and there, so it's not like I'm not buying. Every other day there's something to entice me.
My only gripe is that most of the Golden Tickets haven't been much of interest to me. A lot of them are excellent products (like PW mansion or even today's Moon Guy), just nothing I have any idea how I could use, so I'm mostly passing on them, buying only when there are other incentives.
Great walk-through

E.G. The Daz 3 Horse Bundle (to echo @joanna, which I don't need) is
$176.99 full (no one pays it) price
It's $43.36 in the base PA sale (76% off)
40% for a GT I bought yesterday = $26.02
30% for the 30x30 banner = $18.21
30% for a New Release = $12.75
2 tokens I have lying around = $11.09 (94% off)
The (now discounted) New Release is +$4.01
So $15.10 total cart (which is 91.5% off and a free set of nice satellites)
... like I put, I don't need this bundle!
(however, the Staff Picks Fantasy Mega Bundle: $430.95 to $25.39 94% Off - inc discount for a handful I already own - maybe I do need that!
)
Buuut... do you want it though?
I tend to avoid PW large environments because I've seen some complaints in the past about file size and memory usage of those massive sets. But maybe that has changed, this set in particular does look a little smaller. If someone has the PW Hacienda and has time to do a quick test render, I would be curious to know the GPU memory requirments.
The deduction started earlier this summer and it is great. Bundle pages show what items you already own and the discount when you only own some items is pretty good IMO. Example: Neanderthal 9 character bundle is currently $30 (Premier) and I already own the character from Quick Grab. With no other discounts, I could buy the bundle for $17 tonight.
Now, the store does reset your purchase date for the previously owned items to the bundle purchase date, which doesn't bother me much.
Don't forget to cart-test some of the Daz Original bundles if you're already shopping with Premier, 8 tokens, 30 for 30 coupon, golden ticket, and today's flash sale. Great opportunity to fill some gaps if you already own some of the bundled items.
Might be that I'm late to the party, but I did a test render for you. The attached file is the result. It's the scene coming with the product as PW H !Full and I only changed the dimensions of the render to a 19:12 (from a 19:9) dimension, so it's 2162x1365 pixels. GPU monitor tells me that it used ~ 6.8 mb GPU memory. A render of the main building alone, without props inside and without the background etc. with about the same size came to ~4.8 mb
I found the gravel on the ground looking a bit flat, but all in all it's a nice product.
Yep.
Character bundles for $3 a pop (on Daz+)
Thank you, I appreciate you taking the time to render that. Yeah the gravel does look flat. I often use UltraScenery to replace surrounding terrain anyway so that doesn't bother me too much. And I think you mean 6.8GB and 4.8GB? I have the PW Amphibious plane which I just tested and just that alone comes out to 3.5GB loaded in the scene (according to HWMonitor), and about 4.5GB during a render. So I unfortunately would still be rendering with CPU alone even with an empty scene. I'll have to wait until I can get a new GPU.
Are tokens still doubled on Monday and Tuesday? I'm thinking of buying a month of Daz+, but I'll wait until then if that's the case.
Another pretty crazy day for low prices. I got a lot of OOT and Stonemason stuff for 95-98% off, most stuff costing less than 2$. A lot of DOs cost around 40-50c and G9 Characters bundles less than 2 dollars. Although there is a lot of stuff in character bundles that is of little interest to me, I generally like the base character. Normally anywhere from 2-5 dollars is the price I jump on a base character, but I been getting the entire bundle for less than that. These prices are well below even outlet prices.
I wonder who's gonna pay for wasting my time because Daz does a sale one way and, then, changes it, tripling the price... (I know no one's gonna pay... this was sarcasm, though, if the world was a serious place, they surely would be sued for that...) Well... Let's clear the cart and forget about buying any sh*t today...
Well, I was expecting for Daz to correct those prices, because they felt somewhat too low, but I refused to rush through the products only to get a cart in through before they did it.
My reaction is "oh well," a shrug, and emptying the cart. There are other things and places I can spend money on.
Happy for those who got their purchases in time, though!
Those are good prices, though I wonder if they were a mistake. When I put in the best discounts items, they actually go up in price (and that's with 8 tokens)
Another day when things in the cart suddenly shot up in price. They really need to simplify their sales if they can't work out the ramifications of all the stacking and competing discounts.
