Thanks !!!
Take 2 on the Toon Alien sculpt ....
I'm liking it! You can never have enough Toon aliens.
great practice ... we always can use an extra Harry Vanderspeigle et al
Thanks !!!
Thanks - getting better each go at sculpting !!! Love the toilet paper roll man !
Great stuff! Love the Duck Dodgers and the rest of the crew, even K-9. I have to ask, though, is that a Lost in Space lander back there? I can't quite see enough of it.
_ you're more than welcome ++
You got it.... the space pod...
I had a lost cube and thought about making some space for it
ahhh... memories
Wow! You never cease to amaze!
I am impressed by those Lost In SPace models. Modelled in Carrara I presume ?
In all honesty, what would be the best way to master modelling in Carrara today ? There seem to be so few tutorials on how to get good and advanced with Carrara ?
mmoir and PhilW had some top tutes.
mmoir unfortunately had his shop closed by DAZ.
PhilW's tutes are available at O'Reilly - can recommend PhilW's Advanced Carrara Techniques
There are also quite a few Youtube vids - https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=modeling+in+carrara+software
yep, all modelled in Carrara starting from a humble cube.
I never used tutorials apart from watching some interesting youTube videos every now and then. I just dove in and worked it out over time and am still learning. Started with "easy models" then just added more and more but time wasn't a factor for me in learning. Just a hobby.
challenge accepted.... dunno how acurate it is but hey.... it's wacky and from a cube
it's in the zip file so your runtimes can be well rinsed
So cool! I've never used or seen a ringer washer that old, fascinating... and as always, amazing that you could whip one up so quickly and so well.
It's a lot like watching a magic show.
thanks Walt, neither have I, my aunty had an electric type of roller ringer and my cousin broke his arm when he stuck his hand in ..... when it was going!
Oh Woow, I didn't expect this
thankyou, it was just a comment admiring your ability to model literally anything
because you are awesome
Thanks Stezza - superb model !!!
pretty nice //
Mike4 mangling a towel
it's animated, I split the model, the tracking on his hand not great so obscuring it
will post video when rendered
those renders have come out pretty cool
I was thinking of having the seperate parts but thought nah... gives you Carrarians something to work on
split model and centre the hotpoint on each bit works quite well but it loses the materials, however I needed to replace them with Octane ones anyway
the easiest way I found is to duplicate it the amount of parts you want
like: 6 times for each roller top n bottom ( 2 ), cog pair (2), springs and wheel.
then edit each one and delete the mesh you don't want then rename the edited model to the part. It keeps it's materials.
Then add them to an animation group and rename that.
note: you may need to recrease the frame after the edit
