Explain exactly what that is? Is it voluntary or a restriction due to something? Oh dear, fires??? How close?
Thank you so much! An update for everyone-
The buyer was supposed to do a walkthrough sometime after 9am on Wednesday (today) and I was going to spend the night Tuesday night and enjoy one last evening. Well, they asked for the walkthrough to be moved to Tuesday at 5:30pm! (And that was 9am Tues morning) We went ahead and agreed as I had already taken all the movies/videos and while getting my car serviced the previous day (Monday) spent that 3 hours writing all the notes to the buyer. Made sure Pip the squirrel was mentioned, and left a bag of pecans and sunflower seeds lol. So it was hectic getting the house swept, mopped, and everything done again with the pool so it was leaf-free, but we got most of it, closed on our part, went back, and out by 6pm. Then I drove over to St Augustine, arriving at 1am their time (Eastern, 1 hour ahead of Central.) Today, my agent let us know the walk-through went fine and the buyer closed today at 3pm. We're officially SOLD!
I hope everyone in the fire areas are okay. There just seems to be a continuous fire season now.
Congrats on the sale.
And they seem to be worse each year
Xcel's explanation is that if users can reduce their use individually by 2% the total savings would keep Xcel from having to purchase extra power from non-renewable sources at higher prices. But when I mention this to neighbors around my area, some are totally unaware. So it seems to be selectively targeted?
The most interesting part is by unplugging the computers and TV and its components seem to be the bulk of the savings. I have a rule that the lights in the bathrooms are exempt for safety. And while we moderate our thermostat to 77F when whomever is the last to go to sleep, they lower the temperature to 74F. It is just too hot otherwise and we have too much smoke to open windows. One neighbor keeps her apartment in the mid-60s. Way to cold for me.
We are getting smoke from the four wild fires in Colorado and also ones in New Mexico and Utah. As far as I know all were started by lightning. But we had a news report this morning of some teens at one town around here deliberately using fireworks yesterday starting a fire and ran off. A policeman used his extinquisher until more help arrived to fight it.
I am so happy your sale is final now Novica. And now you can focus on your new home. After you rest a bit.
