Messed up hair and make up

There seems to be a trope that a heroine fights a battle to save the day or the word, but after every battle, her hair and make up is still perfect, and she hasn't broken a single nail.
what can I do to help these girls subvert that trope? How can I mess up the hair and make up? Or how about give her a broken nail or two?

Linday has some messed up hairs. And if you search for messy there are some others.
For a messy makeup, there might be some characters that has it, and I am not aware of any products (others might know), so you might have to make your own LIE. Assuming if it is for your own use, and you own some LIE makeup product, you can take the image into an image editor and adjust it to fit 'messy'.
Broken nail requires a morph, and I haven't seen any, there might be. Can be done in a modeller if you know such.

I feel like I've seen broken nail morphs somewhere... it's completely escaping me where, though. Maybe in a Changeling Chick character package? Those seem to come with all sorts of amazing extras...

I suggest you look at your updo hair collection that can be simulated. I have found some (can't remember right now which ones) which have great skills at coming loose and floppy during the simulation.
As prior military and having worked in disaster preparedness, where I had to respond from my day job to emergencies, makeup would get washed off ASAP. I kept my hair short not to get in the way of gas masks fitting securely. But if I had it long, and I needed to shoot, I would quickly find a way to pull it into a ponytail at the top of my head and out of my eyes. OOT hairs offer a lot of options there. Negative side of a ponytail, it gives your adversary a handle to control you with if you get into a hand-to-hand fight.

Get Linday hair for having messed up hair, but you will need to do some extra work.
Get the "Wet Messy Bang Hair"
but I guess, you want dry messy hair, right?
So, get the "Classic Messy Bob Hair" as well.
Save the main shader from the "Classic Messy Hair" to your library as Shader Preset and apply it to all "Wet Messy Bang Hair" Material channels.
You will have some of the best messy hairs.
