This stuff happens so often here, and it's precisely why I never wait anymore, at least if I'm good with price and all. Yes, something else might drop, but more often than not, it will be a change for the worse because a sale is getting adapted. So if there's something I really want, and the price is good, I'll buy it, no questions asked. Haven't regretted that yet and can thus recommend.
You're so wise, Tsroemi, and I'm going to follow that sage advice from now on. Because I just dumped the cart I put together this morning when the tokens were working. I wish I'd had time to check out then. Oh well. Always another sale. Not today, Daz.
>92% off - discount dropped to the 70% off only
The "offer does not stack with other discounts" was added.
Cart went from $60 to $100, and so to $0 for no buy today.
Another sale completely ruined by forced non stacking "discount".
Shifting requirements is a huge turn-off, and the fastest way to make me nope out of spending.
And I've gotten to the point that every time I have to empty a cart because the discounts changed, I make a note on the things I emptied for how much they would've cost if I'd been able to check out as originally advertised. That's my new bar that product has to beat to go back in the cart. If it never gets there, such is life. There have been several I've gone "you know what? I probably don't actually need that at all" and just removed them from my WL entirely.
So hey, maybe I should thank the people who can't get the sales right. Overall they're saving me money.
Yes, indeed. I don't know that I've had that happen to me before - changing the conditions of a sale that late into the day. I get it on the occasional just-past-midnight blooper like the .60 price instead of 60% off; that I shrug off. I have a job in the software industry because "stuff happens." But actively changing the conditions of a sale hours into the day rates as pretty cheesy.
I was sitting on my cart with a couple of new things and 5 wishlisted items, waiting to see what tomorrow would bring, but I dumped it. There's always another sale (TM).
i do not see anything that says it doesn't stack on that wishlist deal...but it doesn't. It did for sure earlier today. No matter, I cleared my cart. I still have my 2 coupons yet for Premier, but it expires on the 18th, so probably the 17th at 7PM...as it did last time. Never did get a repsonce on my ticket concerning this. I had a couple DAZ+ items in the cart as well, but now I think I will see what comes up on Friday. The new ones are not very apealng for awhile. I usually use them when a new release over $1 is needed for a sale.
Agree. I, too, dumped my cart because of th midday shift.
Not often that applying a coupon to an item makes the price go UP! but applying the cherry picked coupon to a Flipmode product from my wishlist made it go from $8.75 to $10. Took the coupon off, added two more wishlist products with 65% off to take it over $18, added my one token, my Daz+ $6 coupon and got the three for $16.
screwed again. I had 6 tokens. Cleared my cart but did not clear the tokens...went back in and added the free DAZ+ item, but there was NOTHING indicating any tokens were applied, I checked a couple of times...so I checked out. Just went here again to try the 3 WL items with a different new release as the one I had chosen before was stated to be in the list in error...and now NO tokens. None. I'm not even going to file a ticket this time. Its not worth the bother. I'm pretty tired of the entire situation in this place. I keep trying, but I'm wasting my time.
Today's deal clearly states it doesn't combine, which is good on one hand, and bad because again, why do I have tokens if they don't combine with stuff?
I have to wonder: "Recent Releases $3.99 each or 5 for $18" How are they recent when the highest SKUs are 86340 and 86702? They were released 3 years old. Three years ago is "recent"? The Daz Studio Pro Beta, which is always Free, shows up in this list of "outlet" sales items. Not sure why.
Also the links on this page https://www.daz3d.com/artist-mega-flash-sale remain incorrect. The "View All Items" link goes to https://www.daz3d.com/long-wish-list-artists instead of https://www.daz3d.com/megaton-flash-artists and the list of artists is the same as the long wish list artists sale. It's only been two days. I guess there's no reason to fix it now.
...here's what's really screwy, on the main store Banner it has the prices reversed: 1.99 for Recent Releases and 3.99 for Vintage Releases. They really need someone who can proofread this stuff before it is posted to the site
Oh and it gets better.,,
So I put 4 in my cart all showed a price of 1.99. which made the a total 7.96. However, when I put the 5th one in, the total tjat I got was 9.00 instead of 8.00. I checked them all again putting them in the cart in reverse order to make sure one was not a 3.99 item. but when I put the fifth (originally the first) one in, it still totalled 9.00..
Also no Fastgrab or Lightning Deals links.
I also wonder what they mean by "Premier and Daz+ Members Pay half." Is that off the prices? If thats is so each item would be 1.00 and 5 would be 4.00.
[bleah] Too tired to try and figure this out right now so going to to sleep on it and check the cart when I wake up.
You should post a screenshot of your cart.
I placed 5 'Vintage' items in mine, and I ended with a $8 cart.
5 items at 1.99 each would be 9.95, not sure why you think it should cost $8. As for the tokens thing, it's a little annoying, but ultimately you can be getting huge discounts of like 95%+ dropping things to a dollar (for Premier members) or two, so tokens would only be getting you like a couple of percent savings (which on a $2 product, or $9 pack fo 5, is still only a few cents)
Because it's advertised like that: $1.99 per vintage items but $8 if you're buying 5 of them. Members get a 50% discount on top of that.
I reported the weirdness with a sixth item increasing the prices of everything, and it seems to be fixed now.
However, now any multiple of 5 past the initial 5 for either category does not get the group discount. Also reported, not sure if it's a feature or a flaw.
I like this better than LD or Fast Grab, both of which it seems to have replaced. These are deal prices that feel like actual deals... though not quite sure how anyone could consider G3 stuff "recent"...
I don't get a 50% discount.
EDIT: Ahh, it is indeed working; The $1.99 items I see are actually the $3.99 items discounted (I would have expected them to be $2.00, but Daz apparently rounded down) I didn't scroll far enough to see the legacy items.

Never mind...
Yes, members should see recent items at $1.99 and vintage ones at $0.99
Depending on cart size, it can add up, especially on DO's if you have enough for the extra discount to kick in.
That said, while generally I think it's foul play to have tokens be an incentive for membership and then make them not work, I feel like it's fair here. Subscription members get half off by default, and with that, plus the 5-item discount, the prices are really quite nice for many things. And you can still earn tokens with your purchase to spend on other stuff.
Did you select recent or vintage items? I see recent items at 1.99 with 5 for $9, and vintage at $0.99 with 5 for $4.
Took me a few minutes to work it out because $3.99 items show up to Daz+ members as $1.99 - I was just getting ready to post I was seeing $9 instead of $8 when I twigged that the items must be 'Recent' and it was the Daz+ half of $18 I was seeing not the $8 for 'Vintange'. If the two levels were clearly distinguished it would help.
I am not even getting an $8 deal, 5 items are getting discounted to $9 instead
...as I was about to shut my system down I saw there wasalready a dedicated Outlet Store thread and that cleared up the questions I had. So all the items I put in my cart were "recent" ones and with the half off for my Daz+ membership, the prices were 1.99 which came to 9.00 with 5. So the promo is working correctly. 9.00 for just under 170.00 worth of content(with a few of he items being on my withlist) is still a pretty darn good deal.
what caused the confusion was when I got the email notice I clicked on the link to check it out. At the time I did, the full prices were showing on the Outlet Store page but when I put one in the cart the discount applied (this has happened before). As there was no way to tell where the "split" between "recent" and "vintage" was I was hard to tell what was newer and what was older. .With the pricing now fixed it is easy to tell where the break is.
It isn't based on a Genesis generation release, but instead a date: June-01-2017 (determined by looking at the readme files for the last 1.99 item and the first 0.99 one).
OK now off to bed. surprised my fingers can still hit a fair number of correct keys on the keyboard this late.. or should I say "early".
You've selected recent items, not vintage ones. That $9 is half of the $18 a non-member would pay for those.
Ah I see now, they showed as 1.99 when there were 4 as they were already halved so I naturally associated them with 1.99 5 for $8.
The fact that the bigger price for D+ & Premier is the same as the lower price for civilians created confusion in our minds... Add to that the shop banner with the prices swapped...
... so, just slightly younger fhan my end-of-year first grader. Well, if "final" can have any meaning Daz wants, why not "recent"?
(whatever line they draw for the cut is their perogative, of course... I just think there has to be a better word for it)
Flagged this up - it should be skipping tokens entirely on free orders, not just hiding the controls, as we understand it - but there has been at least one other similar incident.
thank you very much..so it wasn;t my imagination that there were no controls?
So when I read that correctly the "Outlet" is meant to stay, and take on all participating older stuff.
Which also excempts them from other offers, so these will no longer be available at any lower price then the current $1.8 or $.8.
Unless they swap them out again after a time.
