Exporting from Hexagon to Daz Studio (Mac)

Hexagon for Mac does not have a working Daz Studio Bridge.

I can use the bridge FROM Daz into Hexagon.

My current way of getting something FROM Hexagon back to Daz is :

1) Save as a Hexagon file

2) Copy file to a Windows Virtual Machine.

3) Open Hex file in Windows Hex.

4) Use Windows Hex -> Windows Daz bridge.

5) Save as Daz file.

6) copy from VM to Mac side.

7) open in Mac Daz.

Is there a way to simplifiy this process, without losing any of the functionality that I'd be using Hex to do?

That is strange, because the main reason for the last Hex update - many years ago - was to have the bridge working on Mac.  Have you put in a support ticket?

A simpler method would be to export as .obj.

Hmm.. Last time I tried it, it didn't work, and found developer notes that it doesn't work...I'll try it again...

If I were to export as obj, would it lose things like bones and movability?

OBJ does not carry rigging information, so yes, you would lose bones and movability.

The Bridge from DS to Hexagon is primarily used for creating morphs, so only OBJ is needed as a Morph target..   What are you trying to do with it?

    I don't know yet...

Last time I tried I was trying to turn a 2 object iMac model (the monitor and the stand) into a single object with 2 parts, bones, whatever.
