A quixk use of UltraSceneryXT, but not that happy with it, for a Found Face:
I finally worked out how to actually get a biome working, so here's a better version:
Haaa Fae3D ... We have been having a similar senerio at our house... We have a foster cat that keeps staring at our cats through a gate we have put up to separate them... lol. She even jumped OVER the gate today... but was quickly greeted by our black cat Meenie... Needless to say hubby broke them up before any damage could be done. She ran back into her 'safe' room the moment he grabbed for her... LOL Well done!!!
YESSSSSSSSS... much better version.. I agree... the first one was too easy to see the face :) Love it SimonJM!
Hi gang.. We still have some time before April gets here... hurry hurry hurry and get your artwork posted...
Here's mine... I chose SEPTEMBER = Garden for my inspiration this month... ahhhh what a great place to enjoy a coffee and read the paper... a nice courtyard garden. I just happened to purchase it last week too.
"Morning Coffee"
That does look like a nice cosy place for a morning coffee! :) Could have used some of that sun here yesterday but instead it was overcast.
I see she is favouring the doughnut over the apple for her snack - I do share a similar weakness :P
Ha... you noticed the donuts!!! lol. bah... who needs apples? I'll send some sun your way... as soon as we git some! lol
It's sunny enough here in France, but I would not eat my breakfeast outside, considering the current temperatures
Nice render though
I decided for MAY, so Living Landscape, not in the way @SimonJM did (nice one too
) so I put living beings in a landscape, as much as I could among the creatures I have in my library.
'From dusk to dawn…'
It started as an fantasy version of my previous render ‘It takes two to be the only one’ (which could also have worked as an entry for the challenge, with the Animal theme though) but it felt a bit too limiting and I didn't see how I could get both of them to have their own mount, so I keep some ideas (a tower on the horizon, lots of bloom, my usual duo, etc.) and started a new scene.
I scratched my head a bit to light the characters, wanting them in an overall shadowy area but still visible. I'm sure they are some tricks I don't know that can help in such a situation, but I hope you'll like the end result
As usual, all items should be list in the gallery.
Really nice scene :) I agree that sometimes it's tough to light your characters when you want a darker or more shadowy look but I'd say you have done a fine job as the characters certainly stand out enough at the centre of the image.
Just lovely Elor ... I say the lighting on the characters is JUST RIGHT! Thanks for sharing. :)

APRIL IS HEEEEEEEEEEEEERE... and we travel back to 2103 with... APR= 2013 (JUST WORDS) https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/27391
Here is the list if ya wanna quick reference for inspiration... This was the year I started the challenge so the list is small...
August - Landscapes
September - History
October - Sunrise
November - Superstitions
December - Umbrella
I look forward to traveling back with you all and seeing some grand new renders.
This year is so sad... I was looking back at the artworks and we've lost a LOT of nice peeps since then (sighs)... Sure miss them. Hugzzzzzzzzz
Initially I was thinking of a historical bard or skald or something to stick to my personal music theme. But there is no need to limit myself and I was more interested in November - Superstitions. So I went with that...
Out of luck
WOW.. what a way to start the month acb... THank you... Hope her 7 years of bad luck passes quickly!
Thanks for starting us off. :)
For 'History'
Inspired by childhood memories of the WW1 section in an old encyclopedia and later visits to the Tank Museum at Bovington.
Title: I Surrender
(3Delight, Gimp & Fotosketcher)
Hopefully people can see the image now?
Gallery link
Thank you Richard.
The new gallery image links are not persistent, so those of us without a cached copy don't see the image (and can't click through to the gallery page). It would be best to attach to the post and then link to the full gallery page.
I really must get by backside back to teh tank museum at Bovington!
History using Carrara
Happy Birthday, Llola Lane!
great question...
Dick Smith made several fuel stops during his historic solo helicopter flight around the world. One particularly notable refueling took place on the deck of a Norwegian cargo ship, Hoegh Marlin, between Japan and the Aleutian Islands, as he was unable to land in the USSR. His journey covered over 55,000 km in 260 hours of flying, requiring multiple refueling stops along the way.
His adventure was filled with challenges, including extreme weather conditions, exhaustion, and even being mysteriously shot at over Alaska, with bullets hitting his helicopter’s reserve fuel tank!
Happy Birthday Llola
I didn't know it was your birthday, Llola! Happy birthday, I hope it's been a great one ^_^
Here's my picture for the month, I chose "landscapes".
Beautiful View
Autumn is my absolute favorite time of year. The temperature is usually mild (at least where I am), and then there are the colors. I LOVE the colors! It’s awe-inspiring to see all the various shades of red, orange, yellow and even some purple.
Here, a young centaur takes a moment to appreciate the colors of autumn in the warm light of the sunset.
Rendered in Daz Studio Iray.
Postwork in Pixelmator Pro.
No AI used.
Happy (belated) Birthday, Llola!
Hi Gang.. sorry I've been gone for a while.. I needed to get a new C drive for my computer... For some reason not ALL of my manifest files for Daz are not where they are supposed to be so i'm back installing about 6,000 (must have been on old C drive???) of my 20,000+ files. Weird thing is.. If I open Daz all 20,000+ items are there... but I need to find each one manually... No metadata working. I'm trying to get things sorted but it is taking a while. Hopefully I can submit something for this challenge soon. Having to look content up manually is proving a tedious task to compose a great render. :(
Thank you all for the birthday wishes! I had a great rainy cold 68th birthday :) lol.
That is wonderful nattaruk... Hubby and I have been watching a lot of documentaries lately. You portrayed the surrender quite well... Thanks for sharing with us.
WOW Stezza... You always surprise me with wonderful artworks from Carrara. Since I had to get a new C drive on my computer I may not reinstall Carrara since I haven't used it since it came out. I will have to enjoy it through YOUR eyes :) Well done.. and thank you for sharing :)
Hi Fae3D... Autumn/Fall is my favorite time also... You forgot to mention the smells... WOW.. I can 'smell' your landscape in my mind. Spring is here in Ohio though so I have to wait several months to enjoy those colors :) Well done.. thanks for the birthday wishes and sharing your artwork.
I think I am caught up... Still working on my Daz files... I'll post something soon (fingers crossed) Be well one and all... hugzzzzzzzzz
Still struggling to find some time to properly sit down and come up with a purposeful render. However, I did have a few hours last night to play around with Ultrascenery again and managed to make a scene with it which would hopefully count as "Landscape" for this month. Not particularly interesting but it does have a nice warm colour and an air of quiet and relaxation to it :)
Whenever I get back to the Art Studio forums after some time away, I always check in on all the wonderful entries, with good intentions to add one too... but time gets away. But last night, I decided to start a quick scene for the "Umbrella" category. Tried out an outfit and pose set by Breeze that had an umbrella in it!
Colors in the Rain
A Belated Happy Birthday Llola!
Hope you're making progress in getting your DAZ library sorted. I'm also supposed to be moving my files across to another drive so I can install all my buys from this year - but imma procrastinating on it...
Very nice image, SapphireBlue! I can almost feel the breeze and the rain!
