Pleats skirt with a lot of pleats, when used to different chars, the shape change a bit.
How to fix the pleats, so it can get its shape again?

It needs a custom morph for the shape(s) used, or to use a Rigidity Map to block all morph projection.
How to create a rigidity map?
Can't find it anywhere.
I can only find rigidity groups
Sorry, that was what I meant - created with the Geometry Editor.
Okay, I've figured out some things
I know how to:
1. make rigidity participant
2. Make rigidity reference
3. Apply rigidity weight map
4. Clear generated morph.
But somehow the part that I want to keep undistorted, stil distorted.
What I did:
1. I selecte the area I want to keep rigid. Assigned them as participant.
2. I selected few vertices as refrences.
3. Weight Map the area I want to rigid, 100% red. Basically similar area I want to keep rigid.
4. Clear generated morph.
I'm also having difficulty to figure out which morph actually affect that distotrtion, I zero all, but still the skirt is distorted near that vagina area.
The skirt is for gf8, I use it for G9
That is probably rigging, is the pose actually zeroed or have you moved the legs together from the zero pose?
zero pose
If you auto fitted a G8F's pleated skirt to G9, by using G8F Clone...., Rigidity Group + Clear Generated Morphs won't work for your case, because that "distorted triangle area" comes from the weight transfer from the clone rather than any full body morph or partial body morph...
Some ways to fix the issue:
Step 0: suggest not Auto Fit but load G8F's skirt without fitting into the scene, then dial G8F clone on G9, re-rig the skirt to G9 with Transfer Utility. Zero Clone. In this way, you'll get better initial shape than Auto Fit... (ss 1 ~ 2)
Ways of fixing:
- Quickest way: give the skirt a high Smoothing Iteration, export it to OBJ with Base Resolution. Reset Smoothing Iteration, then import OBJ to Update Base Geometry. (ss 3 ~ 5)
- Add / use dForce to simulate a good shape of the skirt, then Update Base Geometry.
- Smooth the distorted area in Blender, then Update Base Geometry.
- Use G8F skirt to "re-fit" on a G9 Base in Blender, then import the skirt shape to Update Base Geometry. This is the perfect way that I always prefer to ~~ (ss 6 ~ 7)
what is G8F Clone?
In the path of Hidden > Clones...

I increased the smoothing iteration, but in my case, the triangle distortion didn't go away.
Which product are you using ? or you made this skirt with MD or sth. ?
dForce HnC Pleated skirt outfits for genesis 8 females
The culprit : Smoothing Type on this skirt is set as Generic, change it to Base Shape Matching. (ss 1)
Besides, another trick: when re-rigging the skirt to G9 (with G8F clone dialed..) with Transfer Utility, check the option: Use Adaptive Tolerance and set it as 100%. (ss 2 ) It'll help with lessening the distortion significantly. (ss 3 ~ 4)
Okay, it works, thank you.
