Hamsters for packet transmission works for many sites, but there appears to be a conflict when attempting to use them on websites that have lolcats. 100% packet loss .
Is there any truth to the rumor that contrary to popular belief, the meat product hamburg, is is not ground beef but is in actuality ground hamsters?
Completely untrue. Hamburgers are indeed ground beef. Well, made from part of a cow at least. And while they do consist of meat between two pieces of bread, the Earl of Sandwich rolls over in his grave whenever they are referred to as sandwiches.
I'm not so sure, I recon he'd embrace the difference and opportunity; just because most of those available are poor, doesn't mean all are.
So do the test posts still need doing or should we hijack the thread? :D
That looks like a cat.
It is a cat
Hi jack away! As long as notifications come in, it doesn't matter what goes on :)
(I'm subsribed to pretty much every thread on the front page to get a good sampling body)
I was jacking away already
oh you mean on the thread
All about the base, the way it could have been. https://youtu.be/iyTTX6Wlf1Y
There was a hampster, not a cat, in that hampster ball before the packet got to the lolcat site, I swear. :-)
Hi.
welcome Jack
The hamster is wearing a cat... poor hamster. :p
Just reactivating this...Comcast won't fix the problem on their end...and not having their filters running is letting too much junk go through.. so I'm seeing if my client can snag the mail before or out of the junk....
I was never here.
This post does not exist.
Why is it double-spacing everything I type?
Well, I certainly hope it gets straightened out.
Who put all those words in between the blank lines you didn't type?
Not me
If you want to avoid double spacing you have to edit the source.
Click the Source button, remove all but the first
and the last
and then add a
at the end of the other paragraphs.
Like this.
okay
not like this
but like
this
Aha,
ok,
thanks.
That's good to know... I wonder why it double spaces automatically?
It seems very wasteful of post area real estate.
Now I will promptly forget how to do this...
Still, it's good to know.
Isn't
it
called
minimalism
to
have
lot's
of
space
between
things?
Or instead of a simple enter, use shift+enter. That puts in a
instead of a
. I find this easier than editing the source.
not sure
The proverb of today is:
"The man who stands alone in a lake, will have fish in his pants, yet he who does not, will be dry"
Pass this on to someone you love or want to confuse... It will show you care.
Good question. Microsoft Word does this too, and the only way around it I could find was to make a specially-prepared "blank" document to start from (or go through a whole series of steps to disable it every single time you write a document, which is silly.) I have no idea what they're thinking. It's probably some standard business grammar formatting thing we're all supposed to use to put a space after every paragraph or something, who knows. But most of the time I'm just typing up a list or collection of one-line items, so it's extra-annoying if not disabled.
I think that should be called "maximalism". :-)
This has nothing to do with anything, but since I was thinking about it, I figured I'd post it here...
Why I don't use emoticons or smilies...
Well, they are too cute for me... I'm not a cute person. But also, I'm not sure I always get what they mean or feel people will get what I mean by them... Here are a few examples of what I mean, and how I feel some emoticons can also be interpreted:
I'm sure most people who use emoticons are mostly not using them to mean what I'm seeing them as, but I just thought I'd put that out there.
When they put the smileys up they always forget the Chohole Smiley
