I don't get notifications either and never had one sent to my spam folder.

Szark ... sorry if I am trampling trampled ground ... but you do click the little grey star to the right of the thread title so it gets orange?

And the notifications (there are a lot of different ones nowadays in my profile) have email checked?

If bulk email is getting flagged by an ISP as spam, maybe there's a way to use one of the other free email providers to forward it on, but with modifications (adding signature text or something, or maybe even the new source address will be enough) so that it's now a unique file from the rest of the emails in the list, and thus sneaks past the block?

    Are we still doing this?

Sorry about not checking back on this until now... After I put out the fire and cleaned up the debris last night, took a shower, ate dinner, cleaned chocolate frosting off my power strip and had a beer with the neighbor's cat... I then found out my iPad was dead because my daughter was playing some new game on it... I was too lazy to sit in front the computer and I had another peice of cake, so I was afraid I was gonna drop that one too... Then when I got up to go to kitchen, my other daughter stole my cake... And ate it too... Which goes to prove, the old saying "You can steal a cake and eat it too", is correct... As long as you eat it fast... And run faster than me... And hide somewhere good.  After a brief chase, a briefer search and a scuffle over a chocolate covered fork, I gave up on chocolate cake for the day.  After that my Father in law asked if I could reinstall Office365 for him...

Before I go any further... If anyone asks (I just spelled "asks" correctly and auto correct turned that into "saki"), if anyone asks you to do anything computer related and "Office365" and "reinstall" are in the same sentence, pretend to suffer a seizure or something... Even if they call an ambulance and they unnecessarily defibrillate you a bunch of times (it gets less painful after the sixth or seventh shock)... It's still less painful than reinstalling Office365... The uninstaller is useless- it uninstalls nothing, but it happily takes a long time to do it and if you try to fix the situation following MS's idiotic instructions you will accomplish nothing but falling into a möbius loop of frustration... You can have all the hi-speed internet technology can provide, shut off every bit antivirus software you have and still you will get "Sorry, it looks like you are on a slow connection", "Background installation ran into a problem: Please make sure you're still connected to the internet" and some sort of "Please reconnect to the Internet"... And finally... If after going through this for three hours... Remember this ancient Estonian proverb:

"If Office365 tells you it has completed installation... It is deceiving you"

Because, trying to open it then gives you " Please wait until the current program is finished uninstalling or being changed"...  Changed? Did it poop it's nappy?... "Changed" apparently has something to do with the crappyness of the product or equates to "repaired"... But I guess since it never actually repairs it, "Change" makes sense than fix or repair... If you ask me to fix your toaster and I back my truck over it, I can then say that while I did not perhaps fix it, I did indeed "change" it... So I suppose that's the idea behind that.

If at some future point you actually get Office to stop doing whatever it arbitrarily decides it's doing, and it seems installed... Remember this proverb:

"There is a problem with your product key"

I guess you can see why getting high voltage electric shocks is a better option than going through reinstalling Office365... My best guess is this is a last ditch attempt to have you throw the computer out the window so you'll have to buy a new one and thus a new copy of Windows...

Well, it was late and I gave up and went to bed.

So... Other than what I hope was an amusing long story, I have once again successful contributed nothing of great use to a thread.

From a past experience, Comcast is the culprit.  They considered multiple recipients - spam and killed the messages at the Comcast level.

YEah, except Comcast DOES recieive it, if it goes thru a differnt path then the standard one I use for all emails.

  • I am posting but why?   Why do we have to post here?

To save money, your ISP decided to eliminate the expensive email server equipment, which was instead replaced with a system of monks who carefully and painstakingly transcribe your messages onsite, then walk them to their final destination, where they are hand-entered into the destination system.  This process is somewhat slower that before, but you are assured that every message has been double- and tripple-checked for inconsistencies and accuracy is guaranteed, when they finally do arrive.

I just read about that at CNET... I guess its better than some of the gerbil based systems. I believe Microsoft still uses them as data shunts... While they may be cheaper, they tend to get stuck in the tubes and just drop dead.... That and they usual chew up the transcripts and use it for bedding.

Maybe the OP should suggest that they update the message carrying system to Owls      I am sure Harry Potter could supply some ready trained ones.

So just looking for a few replies.

I now know where in fact the emails are going,. It's in fact going into the spam filter..but only when they come thru my domain and forwarded to comcast... they work fine coming directly from daz, or bounced from Gmail. So I just need to find out how to get that undone.

For the record, any suggestion that Microsoft uses gerbils to transmit packets is completely unfounded, and you should be ashamed for spreading this rumour.

    They use hamsters.
