Strange distortions in render.

Using DS 4.5

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.
This is what is happening to my renders lately.
Has anybody seen this before?

What is causing these strange colory grids to appear in my renders?

How can I stop it from happening again, and again and again?

    Deep Shadow Maps clashing with 3Delight render engine. Shift the camera angle just a bit, or swap to raytraced shadows.
