WINDOWS: DIM keeps installing hexagon 32-bit version, but I need 64-bit version
For some reason, DIM only installs the 32-bit version. The one that causes "internal error" when using certain tools.
I try to install the 64 bit version, but DIM keeps installing the 32 bit one.
Filters seem not to work
So I am using the DIM filters to explicitly select softwar by:
Filter by Tag > Release Channel > General Release - 64-bit
There is also the option
Filter by Tag > Software > General Release - 64-bit
It's the only option that will show me Hexagon to install, from all the options inside "tag".
Anyways, no matter what list of "resources to install" I see, it only indicates "Hexagon 2.5" without indicating if it's 32-bit or 64-bit.
If I then select Hexagon 2.5 and install it, it keeps installing the 32-bit version (the one that causes errors when using certain tools on Genesis figures).
I tried the install on a different computer, and it's still installing the 32-bit version.
Any resources to install, the 64-bit version? Even if it's manually? I've been searching half the day and can't find anything on the web.

You need to enable betas to see the 64 bit version.
It is as Richard writes, you have to activate the beta in Daz Central, only then can you download it.
But you can also work with the 32-bit version.
Working with Hexagon 32-bit
It would be nice to see new "News" from time to time. Like maybe reworked tutorials? New primitives?
One of my foibles is that I tend to overlook the included content... so for me a reminder manifest or list might be... good.
DAZ does not ignore other areas, like DIM wastes no time promoting stuff like "Mateo 9" with little pop-up ads.
Whoa, I didn't know a downloadable Daz Central existed. I was working raw with just Daz and Hexagon and DIM hahaha.
Thanks for the heads up!
Exactly what happent to me, overlooked that "enable betas" option. Indeed I didn't know there was a desktop program for Daz Central!!
(Now I can't find it in Daz Central, tho.)
Daz Central... hmmmm...
DIM is an awesome tool and helps me manage the many DAZ install paths and runtimes I have for content.
It just needs a few tweaks to make it a little more easier to understand and use.
NO, I am not complaining. I truly appreciate this "FREE" piece of software DAZ has authored for us.
INFO Hexagon
Hexagon often runs better on a few fast cores than on many slower ones.
The software is heavily single-core dependent and doesn’t efficiently use all cores.
Modern CPUs with 20 cores often have lower per-core clock speeds, reducing performance per core.
Additional threading and cache overhead with many cores can further slow it down.
As a result, older systems with 4–8 fast cores sometimes achieve better performance.
We installed Hexagon on five different systems, including older 4-core machines and modern 20-core systems. We observed no noticeable difference in performance between the older and newer systems.
That's the kind of behavior that stopped me from using it a while back. It's great that it runs so well on older systems, but the instability and lack of speed on some newer CPU's is a little mind-boggling. Also, I wish it took advantage of GPU in some way. Especially in dealing with redraws of heavy subdivision. Hex could literally be one of the best modeling systems out there if only it got some love from Daz.
I still hope that DAZ Hexagon will not be abandoned, but actively further developed. I have compiled a list of issues that are currently not functioning correctly.
I wouldn't hold my breath - the 64-bit public beta came out in 2018 (Windows) and the 64-bit Mac version has never appeared.
