Looks like a good fix.  That's totally stretching the texture maps in the first one, that's sloppy work there.  DAZ should fix that regardless if they are moving to Gen 3 or not.  SLOPPY!

That's why Scott has his own UV to accomodate his shape. If you use texture with a different UV you will have to modify areas of the mesh to accomodate the texture stretching. So no it's not sloppy.

The problem is that this is the custom UV shape of Scott that gives you the stretching....

No, the UV is made for the mesh, if you use a texture with different UV as shown in the image that the post references (Phillip for the base G2M), then you get the texture stretching and need the nipple "fix". Some other items in the Scott pack uses the base male UV, however they were made against the Scott shape so if you use a different shape, the nipple will distort differently.

Which shorts is Scott 7 wearing the orange and blue ones. Are those in the clothing pack in any of the bundles or a different item?

Since no one seems to have answered this: I believe those are the 'Dutch Style Shorts' from 'SY Swimwear for Genesis 2 Male'.

Obviously the orange and blue texture does not come with the product. But the grey-white MAT 'Dutch GW' can be seen in the promo for 'Dusty for Scott 6'. The orange and blue comes with 'Muscle Style for SY Swimwear'. It's the 'Dutch 13' texture (but with changes on the colours).

This is Scott from the promos, with his default UV. As you can see, the nipples stretch considerably. It gets even worse in certain poses.

If this is the intended look for this UV, then the fault lays at my perception, of course. But to me, the Scott 6 UV nipples that come with the character are looking stretched.

Yes - now I got the correct price for him, so in the cart he goes.

Can we then please have a dozen more clothes for him and I'll be really really happy! Like a hoodie, a pair of jeans, a knee-long trench, a dress uniform, some more scifi stuff and something steampunkey. :-)

That's not nipple stretching. I would suggest that people would check google for different chest styles on weightlifters and swimsuit models. Not everyone has a circular areoles, especially with that chest size and nipple position.

Everytime I looke at the scene the figures look like they are floating. It seems to be the angle of the camera and shadow.

Nope. I always check for floaty feet and they are fully grounded.  smiley

And if anyone else is aggravated by the enlongated nipple shape, I've got a fix here:  no credit necessary (but I won't complain).

    Great imagery here.

Agreeing with Male_M3dia .... every areola is different per person.  It was just that one image I saw noticable stretching but if it's the UV's not lining up I guess that fix that was offered will have to do....

Yeah, you really are turning out some nice stuff. When I'm not messing around with other stuff, I really will have to look up some Blender tutorials if you can do stuff like that in it.

It's supposed* to automatically fire up at 100% via ERC when the Scott dial is at 100%.  But it can be found on the Parameters tab under Actor/Hidden/People/Scott 6 as "Scott's Nipple Fix".

As several (RAMWolff, et al...) will have noticed, whether one likes it or not, the nipple distortion is actually in the mesh itself, not just some UV quirk.

*but I'll confess that it doesn't always ERC for me, either.

That is really nice, was this done in Iray? If it was then it's among the best examples of an Iray render I've seen.

Thanks! I use 3delight. That was done using Light Dome Pro.

Wow! That's one I keep meaning to try, and if it produces results like that then I'll definitely try it out now!

Light Dome pro really works well I think. Really like it. One trick I've found is to do another render full-color with different lights, and integrate that into your LDP render to give it some vibrancy. Otherwise LDP can make things a bit washed out. I also like to duplicate some of the glow layers to create a more surreal look. LDP makes layers so you can really mess around with it in Photoshop to achieve the results you are looking for.

so, we definitely no Freak 6 then?

Yeah, have all the Photoshop actions ready to go, I just never got round to a scene that I felt needed it.

    Thanks a lot Eustace Scrubb!

This may be also of interest for others who want to use the nipple fix in Poser. I had to use the Python script 'UnHide Dials' (by Dimension3D) and in 'Show' ticked on 'Scott's Nipple Fix'. Finally it showed up in the parameters at the bottom of the list under 'Other'. It has to be dialed from 0 to 1 then the morph is working on Scott 6!

You have Scott in Poser? I thought he's not meant to be Poser compatible, I'm pretty sure somebody said in one of the Scott threads around here that according to Daz, the lack of PCFs with him was not an oversight. Was all set to buy the Pro bundle until I found that out. Oddly enough, except for one outfit, everything else in the bundle other than Scott is Poser supported. indecision
