How much is he supposed to be for PC+?? I logged out and back in and he's still 51%.

    I see 61% ($52.90)

Have to admit I rather like this character - plenty of scope for alpha male jerkbags! Just a shame I'm skint at the mo sad I may end up getting the Espionage outfit regardless - got a definite use for that one. Will also be trying to fit it to G2F, or rather squeeze G2F into it (not going to ask for a G2F version, cos that'd end up all bulgy, skimp & impractical!)

I bought Dusty and the price of the Pro dropped to $47.24

I included the cost of Amisi when reporting the amount of the cart ;)

At first glance I thought it was G3M, then I clocked the 6, LOL! At least there's some indication that Michael 7 is on the way, but I'm not spending over $100 just to get 50% off him.

    CHEERS!

He's got his regular intro discounts now, and if you're a member of PC+, then getting Scott's Pro would net you half of that for M7, which comes out to just about $35.

The way I see it, one of two things are going to happen: They're planning to release M7/G3M next week, in which case screw Scott, or soemtime between the fifteenth and the first of October, for which I'd buy Scott to get a discount towards the end of the month, when money is considerably tighter. I see three pieces in the Pro set I'd get one way or the other-- Espionage (because an armored bodysuit like that will come in handy for sci-fi renders), the double-breasted suit, and the funky hair (because face it, you can never have too much hair). Most of the rest of it I can either make from the promo images or have little use for. Retro-future is a lot like Karen's Eclipse outfit, but unless you like that Judge Dredd look, you're wasting your money. I'd have to morph the boots for an all-around look anyway-- assuming they're not already built into the rest of the suit (which I would put past nearly no one).

I'm not PC+, even though that offer price does sound tempting. I'm not all that interested in Scott anyway, I was just surprised he's out. I'm sure there will be more offers on M7/G3M further down the line, as there has just been with G3F. I'm so glad I held off getting her morphs until yesterday when they were half price. The next things I want are V7 and her HD pack, if they're still 50% off next week then so much the better, if not, then it's no biggie, I can still afford them now I've got all the morphs out of the way.

    CHEERS!

Scott was not a surprise-- Daz told us there was at least one more G2M coming before G3M a couple of weeks ago (not long after Bethany, IIRC). IMO, Karen is a better deal than V7, but that's just my biases running rampant.

I will say this one time only: Mikey had better be good this time out.

    Not interested.

It won'd be cheaper to buy this with the discount; G3M, yeh that I am interested in.

Great look! This feels like more of a classical heroic look than Gianni had. Maybe a cross between Gianni and Michael, perhaps? Have a feeling he'll look very good in an ancient world costume, like MEC4D's Spartan-inspired stuff.

On the other hand, while this is a desirable appearance to add to the dial-in/out 'gene pool', not sure I'll have the available funds with the sales from the past few days. Probably going on the wish-list, because a couple of those new outfits have more immediate use for my projects.

But, yes, good look. Hats off to whoever created this new character.

So I wonder why some of you say that with your platinum club discount that your total came to under $54. My total was $66 and some change. Are there different levels to the platinum club.

I bought Scott, thinking that the 50% on Michael 7 would be good. But afterwards, I thought...the discounted price is around $91 and with the Platinum discount that brings it in around $66. I wonder if that equals the 50% cost.

Why oh WHY?! are Hierarchical Material Presets still not being utilized for the Materials? Not really a question though....

    Good morning.
After weeks of pretty white girls in bikini's greeting me in my in-box on the Daz e-mail, waking up to Scott was a very pleasant surprise.

Will be picking up at least the starter bundle, if not the pro bundle, come Saturday when I can afford it. :)  That should give them plenty of time for everything to settle price wise (and the current promo to run out, but hey.)

I might be able to get Scott when I get home today from work.

I just got M6 about a month ago. I think I can wait for M7 and skip scottie. Scottie looks kinda neato. But I'll save my pennies :)

  • I like the items for Scott 6 that are available, but I wish someone at DAZ was a bit more aware of how their copy might be read. The headline reads "50% OFF these items for Scott 6 - for a limited time!" and lists the new Cathy and Amisi V7 sets along with sexy underwear and sexy nurse clothing sets. The copy made me think of old James Bond films where the ladies were accessories for the men. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.frown

Despite this, I'm quite looking forward to playing with my new action figures!  smiley

Almost suggested to do a parody with Jessica Bond with men as accessories for her.  Oops I guess I just did.

Looks great. I almost regret buying Karen, because Scott 6 is so much of an improvemetn. I love gen 2 figures.

I really like his face but something about the body does not really appeal to me.

But soon to be released M7? YES PLEASE!

Indeed they did, but I'd forgotten about it and there were no hints this time. Usually someone spots something in a store description but there was nothig this time. With all the G3 and Daz Original stuff celebrating the new face of Daz, I wasn't expecting another new face so soon afterwards.

Heh.  I'm the opposite.  And it's not that I don't like the face, but it's very reminiscent of Val Kilmer to me, which for some reason puts me off it.

I'm waiting for the 10% off gift cards to work again. And then, i will use the gift card on Scott 6.

The body is a little bit on the "exloding" part, but I like the skins and the face shape, plus the character that come with him look good. :-)

As for M7... right now, I get more mileage out of G2M males, because I can combine the base shapes with different skins from several generations. So while I will buy M7 (because I will get 50% off instead of 30% off, and add to that PC discount!) Scott 6 will be of more use at the moment. Things might look different next year, with more characters of the G3M line out, and more G3M skins to chose from.

He looks good (he should, he has my name ;-) ), but I'm broke after picking up Karen (hmmm, that sounds like a bad date...), so he'll have to sit in my wishlist until my next pay. Hopefully M7 won't come out too soon.

  • He is handsome!! Gonna get him :D

Just had a quick look at your Blender gallery, some really nice stuff there. You should do a tutorial for these forums. I might get Scott at some point, I might not. Depends on G3M/M7 really.

    CHEERS!

  • Rather surprised to see a new G2M at this point... I must say, though, that the name is an excellent choice. wink

Looking forward to seeing Michael 7, but since Genesis 2 are still my primary figures I'll be sure to pick him up.

  • RogerbeeRogerbee Posts: 4,460

It'll be interesting to see what you do with him. I don't doubt he'll look great in that portrait studio of yours, still a favourite set up for me.

    CHEERS!

  • What's with Scott's addons being Poser compatible, but the figure himself is only DAZ Studio?  I guess I'll pass on this.

Won't know until someone tries, but I can't imagine that he'd be nonfunctional in Poser with the DSON importer.

  • I got him even though I didn't use him yet (still at work) but there is one thing I find sad about this: Why did they put 2 times the same hairstyle instead of 2 different hairstyles in there.

Oh well, will wait for M7 now.
