A little annoyed at the limitations of clothing tech, but what can you do. If I cared enough to make the image perfect, I'd remove the buttons and add them as props. Maybe do the same for the pocket... somehow? hrm.

I dunno how good I would be at teaching this stuff blush..  I am still trying to learn what works best, and it seems every time i get it figured out Daz changes things so I have to start all over again. angry

I am very sorry to hear about your health declining I'll keep you in my thoughts & prayers . the only reason I have been around more lately is because  I had 2 lumps( not cancerous thank god) removed from my left breast 10 days  ago so that is why I've been home from work  prowling the forums and had some free time to play with Daz Studio and get reaquainted with my NVIDIA graphic cards.  But if there is anything i can ever do to help Ram please feel free to ask .>Hugs<

This took 4 hours. Strangely, from hour 1-4, convergence stuck very firmly at 10%. Going to run it again overnight, but I dunno, the grain/noise/magicpixies look 'appropriate.'

Smoking jacket from Wilmap (which... looks cool, but was REALLY difficult to fit), One Man Band shirt, TNC shoes, Leggings, the floor is from Mage Tower, the ceiling is Stucco on Plane, the three mirrors are Polished Aluminum or Titanium, the light fixture is from one of the recent contemporary things.

Character is Michael 6, Unshaven for Genesis.

...so still struggling with getting the emissive shader to work correctly in Streets of Old London. I tried several different approaches and nothing seems to work. I can get the lights in the buildings and bulbs in the streetlights to glow, but not cast light on other elements of the scene, or in the case of interior lights, to shine through the windows out onto the street like would normally occur.  Not sure what I am missing here. Setting up individual photometric lights in all the locations would be no better than what one has to do in 3DL with spot and point lights.  I thought the advantage of mesh lights is that you can turn existing light fixtures, bulbs, flames, etc into light emitters rather than have to place spot and point lights all over the scene.

With Lux I had little trouble getting mesh lights to illuminate their surroundings.

Funnily enough I have just returned to a scene I have been working on. I have every light set to emit light and they all shine light about the scene.

What are you actually doing with the settings of the Emissive shader and lights?

All I did was go to each street lamp, zoom into the bulb, highlight it with the surface picker, add the emissive shader and set the light to 50 Watts at .50 (which is the setting for a gas lamp) and emission temperature at 5500k.

For the interior light I highlighted each building, found the light bulb in the scene list, highlighted it in the surface picker, added the emissive shader and set the light to the same as the street lights.

If I change the light settings to 150 Watts at 5.0 (an incandescent light bulb) it looks like Las Vegas :)

Do you have your headlamp on?  That may be what is contributing to the lights blowing everything out.  Also, on your second post, it looks like you may have deleted the attachment.  Make sure you leave the attachment and only use the url to its location and change the width to not exceed 800 pixels.

Victoria 6 HD model with some basic mods (.5 Heavy morph, tweaked the nose and jaw a little), Actual Hair 2 + extensive tweaks to the materials, Betty Paige dynamic outfit.

I'm increasingly frustrated trying to fit clothes. Eagerly waiting end of September, when I can afford to spend on content -- Zev0's Fit Control is top of the list.

Is it just me, or do all the renders of V6 here have a mustache?I see a thin black line over her top lip in all the renders,I see it in all mine as well.

You can't go wrong  Fixes many things. Would love to see Zev0 come up with even a half-way working V4-to-Genesis autofit morph adjuster, for things like the V-crease in dresses.

..I use the surfaces tab.  Did the same picked the bulbs in the lamps and bulb in the ceiling lights set the street lights to 250w (Using this in a modern day scene) and the interior lights to 150w Temperature is 5000K for each. What is the "5.0" setting you mention?

All I get is what looks similar to if you applied the Ambient channel in 3DL, the bulbs glow but emit no surrounding light..

Sorry, the 5.0 is the Luminous Efficacy setting.

Given Fit Control apparently will let me layer clothing, and the lack of options on many of Wilmap's free stuff and other older stuff (not that I'm complaining! But it makes it tricky to use), I'm going to love using it for things like shirt and jacket, and so on.

The bra made me laugh. :) Great render!

Interestingly enough, was just working on my own dragon-themed woman.

It's funny, for a while I was a bit dismissive of tattoo packs, because I thought 'I could just put stuff in myself.' But I happened to have one from some group pack, and... it's nice to just go click click done.
