Blender to DAZ or Carrara

lparent674lparent674 Posts: 0

I like how Carrara (DAZ?) renders better than blender on some scenes, but how to make a workflow to model the scene with blender and then render in DAZ or Carrara? Objects import without UV mapping or broken. Carrara/DAZ to blender is easy but I want to go the other direction.

I have also wanted Blender to Daz conversion of rigged items and so on. From what I've heard, it is a matter of difficulty for software coders. Daz to Blender is much easier to code than the reverse. And there's not many people like you and I who want the reverse. High difficulty and low demand means nobody is gonna do it.

Importing materials from blender to daz studio would be impossible, unless we limit it to the principled shader. For the rig it's the same we could only import basic bones, eventually. There was the exporter by Millighost doing this but I don't know if it is up to date or maintained anymore.

Another option is to use poser to export the cr2: blender > fbx > poser pro > cr2 > daz studio.
