I'm somewhat new to Daz, so this is likely an oversight on my part. I have the same/similar issues with the eye area as many others have pointed out, however I am not sure about the process of deleting the head morph to try the conversion again and get it down to an acceptable level. In my "Vendor Name/Product Name" folder, there are no files starting with FHM. I only have a CTRL-RSC file and a RSGF file. Deleting those and trying again with different conversion options/lower tolerance values does not fix the issues with the conversion.
I am using the Custom Character Converter script, as this is the only character I have in my library. Following the exact process on the PDF manual. I have attached a few screenshots as well.
Thanks in advance
Please put the Viewport in Smooth Shaded mode if you need to show a nude figure.
EDIT Found the checkbox, converted in no time, thanks.
Hello, I am, too, converting Keiko 6 to G8 generation, and it worked the first time just as expected in under five minutes.
Then, I deleted the newly created file, and restarted the process (plan to do it with all Keiko6 derived G2 characters). However, the conversion is going for twenty minutes, and it sounds like the converter is no longer using the GPU. Restart did not help. Was there a checkbox that I accidentally checked or not checked?
Also, is it supposed to go through every morph on the G2 list? I thought it will only copy the head and the body.
I am not sure which checkbox you are referring to (perhaps overwrite morphs)? Having the script overwrite the morphs is VERY slow.
While using your G3 Female to G8 Character converter, the Zero Figure Shape Dialog Box pops up about halfway through the process. (see attached) This happened over multiple conversion attempts on different G3 characters. I don't recall this happening the last time I used the converter.

Any Ideas?

That is due to a change in recent Daz Studio versions. You probably want to choose Restore, but RiverSoftArt may have a better answer for you.

Correct. Daz changed the behavior of an action that makes this stupid popup occur in recent versions of Daz Studio. In my copious free time, I need to go back and fix this. I am pretty sure you should select zero (for the CLOTHING converters, restore will work too). From my reading of the code, it looks like at that step we wanted the From Figure to go back to a vanilla G3 female and restore would not work.

Oh, this one ended up with the head pulled away from the body like that liquid metal cyborg from Terminator 2.
That sounds like you had moved the figure before converting. The figures have to be at the origin (default location) in the scene. Probably your clone has been messed up from that and is messing everything else up.
Delete the clone and the converted morphs and start over. The clones are in: C:/Users/[USER_NAME]/AppData/Roaming/DAZ 3D/Studio4/CharacterConverterMorphs
Decided to give it another try today and the result was the same - the head far away from the rest of the figure - despite having deleted both the clone and the previously converted morph prior to the run. The clone was re-created and placed over the G8 figure in the zero position as I think it should. Anything else that I need to check/delete?
So I ticked "Overwrite existing morphs" thinking that one of the morphs had the deformation baked into it but lost patience after it did not finish running in over one hour

I am sure the neck pull is because the clone on the default figure have been moved. Delete the clone. All figures need to be left in their default location and pose after they are loaded. Then start the script.
If I remember correctly, I even dressed her in bikini bottoms (can't see it atm), and the rest is nothing I wouldn't see on any normal beach, right? So I didn't think anything of it.
Besides the disfigured face, what was particularly important to me was the clear depiction of that strange, semicircular artifact below her breasts.
Well, if the character converter manages to finish its current, next attempt in this lifetime, I'll try to find that setting, because right now I'm not quite sure where to look for it...
EDIT: Replaced the pic and hope that this will be ok now...
This is the monster I get when I try to convert the beautiful Olympia 6 into a G8F character using the G2F to G8F Converter.
What am I possibly doing wrong? I've already gradually lowered the tolerance to 0.020, but no luck.
I would start over from scratch. Delete (using File Explorer) all the new converted morphs for Olympia AND the clone. On first run, the script creates a clone (and never recreates it). You need to delete the clone so the script will regenerate it. The clone to delete should be in C:/Users/USER NAME/AppData/Roaming/DAZ 3D/Studio4/CharacterConverterMorphs.

The problem seems to occur exclusively with Olympia 6 and Olympia 6 HD (exactly the same errors).
Since I don't have much experience with DAZ yet, I'm afraid the problems will get much worse if I delete anything, etc.
Can you (or sb else) confirm the problem with the Olympia 6 character?
Will it matter if I don't have the textures for some of the characters I am converting? I lost half my runtime textures in an external drive( I earned the characters doing promo work and don't have access to those files anymore). I can still use the characters, I just use different skins on them but the base characters throw and error saying it can't find the textures. Once I clear the error message ( I hit stop asking) it looks like its going to work but it just keeps running for hours and nothing happens. Also, does this work in the new Alpha? I am running both 4.24 and alpha at the moment so it doesn't really matter but I'm trying to make a list of what works and what doesn't

It shouldn't matter about the textures, but all those error messages *might* be causing problems with the long runtime. I would either put some texture files in the location that DS and the character are looking for them or edit and resave the character before trying to convert. Please use 4.24 - I doubt it works on the alpha.

Oh, and go find the converted morphs (created from your previous attempts) and delete them too.
Yeah, I managed to find the culprit morph eventually so the problem seems to be fixed now. Thanks
Awesome! I am so glad you figured it out.
