Very realistic, definitely should be used as a DAZ V7 promo picture ! ;-)
May I ask what render engine you used for this ?
Cheers.

Thank you!!
Iray of course!
Thank you!!
Iray of course!
Thanks Hellboy....I must be going insane. It was late and I was looking through various threads and came across your render and thought "Wow that's great..wonder what render engine was used for that....I will ask....not realising I am in the "Show Us Your Iray Renders" thread. DOH ! :red:
Cheers.
:-)
Jedi anyone?
5000 iterations in 11 minutes and artifacts appears...
One for a gamer friend of mine

Something a little sinister ...
And something a little sci-fi ...
Tatijana (G3F)
Tatijana and Krayon Hair. The lights are provided with FWSA Adaline.
Experimenting with G3F, with Genesis Supersuit (fantasy)
Good, though still disinterested in jumping on this generation.

A quick render of V7 and Aeon Soul's AlphaKini in Iray.
(Be sure to zoom in, the image is 1600 x 2000)
Indoor Scene
Trying to tweak shaders...
Blood looks awfull;
so some tips would be nice... which basic shader to choose and how to change into blood?
Here's my first attempt with Iray. Finally figured out why it was looking blown out, so I'm really pleased with the results. :)
No changing of mats, but I think it all looks okay. :D
Experimenting more with G3F. Here she is sporting Real Hairy for Genesis.
Yea baby, show those pits! lol Love it!
Real women have hair! Or something. ;)
Experimenting with dark skin. Normally I'd grab Benjamin or use Skin Builder, but, well, not an option.
Since I don't have any G3 morphs, I guess she's hispanic rather than black...
Summer
You need some shine on those skins. This is the process I have been following with excellent results.

Take a look at my Artemis render, especially around the knee. It used to look flat and fake.

Yipiee!!
Thx guys,
apparently you CAN use the skies of economie,
i loaded the exr file from the location ...Program Files/DAZ/Content/Runtime/DimensionTheory/SkiesOfEconomy into the Environment Map in the render settings...
Works like a charm!
So now i also have nightime domes :-) !
thx again for the reminder.
Yes, you could always manually load the HDRI (exr is one format for an HDRI)...you just can't use the dome (well, you could do that, too, but the effort involved is reinventing the wheel, because Iray does already have an 'environment').
Argh. The problem is that I'm currently stuck on a really terrible monitor. Checking that on my phone... Yeah, that's not what it was supposed to look like.
Mutter
yea,
funny how all the things that irritated me before (the right placement of the dome and all the lights to make it more real) i now have to delete them all in a scene to make it more real :) !
rendering an oak scene ftm... with skies of economy and fireplace.
Edit, for image (ran out of patience, render @ 80%)
S_Alkair,
again with SkiesOfEconomie
...the sun for Skies of Economy Reality HDRIs is the Luxrender "sun" which isn't compatible with Itray as Luxrender is based on a different graphics language. So you will get awesome skyscapes and excellent ambient lighting, but no distinct shadows from the HDRI supplied "sun".
I've pretty much resigned myself to staying with the Iray sun/sky setting and using photo plane backdrops to vary the background sky texture and assist with reflections as really good accurate HDRIs are very expensive. It's a kluge but it works for now. Wish we could create a curved plane as that would be more accurate.
The EXR files in Skies of Reality do include the sun as part of the EXR file. An EXR file is an EXR file there is no format difference. (The same with HDRI.) Both render engines read the EXR/HDRI the same.
If you want sharp shadows you have to pick the correct HDRI and have the sun in the right position for your scene. Light placement still counts with an HDRI.
For example this render is the Sunset1.exr from Skies of Reality, rendered in Iray.
