I love this picture.
Cheers,
Alex.
Wow! #1 and #3 look like 3D printed statues. :cheese:
Now some silliness from me.
...nice, saw this over on the Complaint thread.
I really like the angel!!! :D :D :D
Yes using GPU mode for rendering EVGA GTX670
What boggles me is alot of people that have much better cards than i do or more of them are getting such noisy results running render times 20 hours plus. Although my scenes so far havent been very complicated i have never had a render run longer than 3 hours with 99% convergence. I don't know how much the CPU factors in to this myself i have a AMD 965 black edition. I have both GPU and CPU ticked with optix turned on.

Here are a couple of sunset ones from Skies of Economy. Also Skies of Tierra is good. I can do some more if you want to see more.

Of Course!, buying a +650 USD Video card was the meaning of this! :smirk:
Below, using EXR files in replacement of HDR files, very functional for studio or indoor rendering.
...sweet.
Yeah I'm still stuck in CPU render mode. Have an old Nvidia GTX 460 with only 1 GB video memory. Was once high end hardware. Be some time before I can get a GPU with sufficient memory for the scenes I create. By then the GTX Zeus-X with 24 GB video memory will be out so used Titan X's should be cheap.
Yeah, I know your renders, a ton of scenery and props, and multiple figures, I'm so lazy loading all that content, but my next scene involves people watching a fight on a street, maybe the iterations per minute will be slower than a single figure on scene.
stay tune!
I really like the angel!!! :D :D :D
and you hasn't seen the naked version. %-P
Here is another render using Steve's HDR i love this thing...its good all by itself for a barren landscape i need to pick up some rock and debris props!

Thank You Luci but I think that is all I need. I had a look at the promos and without an extra sun light source these are just the same as the others HDRI. I appreciate it Luci.
Man I always thought that DT's HDRI were the bees knees and I suppose they were in their own way but for me they are not Iray material as far as I am concerned.
A star is born!...

Another render...
Victoria 7. Hair and skin are the default Iray shaders, the only change I made was to set translucency on the skin to medium.
I like her but the hair could do with some work.
Edit: Forgot to add image.
Cool. Out of the box, not so bad. There is a hair shader system over at Rendo, OOT IrayPair Hair Shader for DAZ Studio Iray by outoftouch, you could try that. I used it myself for my Artemis render:

I missed this one:

Excellent image, everything looks great, from the stone to the books.

You're welcome, Pete. Only two out of 30 looked good in that set. LOL. I have a lot of DT's HDRIs and only a few are usable for Iray. The Skies of Terra have a couple pretty good ones but they are not photos, were created in Vue or Bryce maybe.
Give DT time, you'll see more Iray-usable HDR's.
And he made this:

And also the little freebie that came with DS 4.8. :)
Here's my latest venture into the Olympia City Scape.
I am trying to go for decaying white marble. I had to work on the textures as they are not true marble.
oh that is coming out well nDelphi
I agree. I like his new Iray outdoor set. The older HDRIs of DT's work fine in Reality and 3Delight, which is what they were made for.
Rendered using Steveathome's HDRi, with environment intensity set at 1.5.
The cars are 1947 Maserati A6GCS race cars adapted for street use, i.e. "Sportscar Meteor 1947". All shaders used are my own, some of them are included in my free 'megapack' but most of them are not available for download anywhere, at least not yet.
Very nice. They certainly don't make cars like that anymore. Look at the suspension on those. I bet they last about 5 times what the suspension on my car last these days. LOL!

Your Olympia City Scape is looking awesome, when I first browsed over them I thought you had posted a couple of reference photos.
LOL! That's why I wrote "Warning, this is not a photograph." on my first Olympia post. The textures there look more like granite.

"Vickie Seven At The Beach"
There's nothing wrong with her eyes, the scene just begged for shades. :)
V7 comes with both 3DL and Iray specific textures.
Nice smile. Can you post something with an extreme expression so that we can see what it really can do?
Victoria 7 :)
WOW, very nice render tjohn. At the moment I am just playing with the new Genesis 3 Female Starter Essentials pack, and very impressed with the new movement morphs. There definitely is a difference in the fluidity of movement when I compare G2F with G3F. The pose and look of your model is very natural. So nice to see renders like this for those of us 'sitting on the fence' wondering if we should buy into the G3 experience. ;-P
Kind regards.
:-)
