Here's one, I'm getting a vibe of Zoe Kravitz on this one.

Woo! That's who I was aiming for. Amazingly despite the fact that people always mention how distinctive her lip shape is, I spent way more time on her eyes, which I now think are at least as distinctive (its the eyelid shape and depth of the eye). Also spent quite a bit of time on the cheeks, but am still not completely satisfied, this is mainly because a. soft and frontal lighting make it really hard to tell the structure perfectly, b. blender and daz handle subD differently and I was getting some weird creases.

I think you've captured her really well and you're right she does have a number of distinctive features but you have balanced them nicely so no one area is spoiling the whole.

It's not a dead ringer, but I just noticed Neomi ( http://www.daz3d.com/fw-neomi ) looks a lot like Katrina Law.

Good likeness, even better than your previous versions. Are you planning on releasing the morph?

I'm just looking thru Mihrelle's stuff again, and I don't think her name was even brought up here for Aella but I'm about 97% sure that she's based on Katheryn Winnick...

To me Aella looks more like Kristanna Loken.

Not the right facial shape for Loken, IMO.

Varies with the angle of view (as do all of them, in fact), but after many, many months of Aella nagging me with a 'She looks like someone familiar but I can't quite think who', it WAS Loken she'd been reminding me of and I'd been trying to think of ... I just hadn't seen Loken in anything for years to bring her to mind. I'd certainly say Aella's face shape is noticeably coser to Loken's than to Winnick's - especially in profile pictures, where Winnick has a strongly protruding nose profile, but Aella's is a much more modest nose like Loken's.

The other MRL character that nagged me for many months was Astrid, but I finally clicked that she was reminding me of a young Natasha Henstridge. Although it varies by angle and picture. Very much young Hensiridge in the main promo pic, and the pic of all the custom expressions, in both of which she seems to have Henstridge's somehwta protruding 'duck-bill' lips; less so in the other promos where the lips don't seem to be so pronounced (angle of lighting, I suppose). But if I had any reason to want to render a Henstridge-a-like I'd start from Astrid.

Anyone know of a free Scarlett Johansson for G/G2F? Copyright/trademark is an issue for me since going "pro".

Can you explain what you mean by "pro"? Do you mean commercial? I would think that any use of a celebrity likeness in a commercial endeavor will be an issue.

I am not aware of any free Scarlett Johansson morphs for any figure.

This is a WIP, in particular the texturing, but I'd like feedback... Does she look familiar?

Yes, but I can't place her. Something about the particular combination of eyes and eyebrows, plus the planes of her face...

Some of Phoebe Cates features in this one. I think it was intentional as even the name is a hint.

I wonder if you`re creating a 3D figure of a certain movie character is it an issue of creating the likeness of the actor or actress or the character and thus the movie? Ive seen a ton of artwork on DA of actors and actresses so is this not enforced unless its offensive. Ive even seen sketches and paintings sold various places so I wonder if they turn the other cheek on that if they see it.
What i`m really curious about tho is how celebrity 3D is made...do most just model the face in Maya or are they using a plugin for such...something that does say what Faceoff does...
    Thx

Well, if you were doing official art and plastic models for the 'Alien' series, you weren't allowed to copy Sigourney Weaver's exact facial likeness when making Ripley. Not up until recently, when she sold rights

3D modeling is more like photography than painting...and that's where the major difference between making a painting/drawing or even sculpture lies. It's as if the courts discount the 'interpretation' aspects of 3D modeling...because even the best paintings are interpretive works, unlike a photo. But even that line gets majorly blurred when Photoshop is brought into play.

And one thing that is abundantly clear from the Wiki article...there is no uniformity. So what may be fine, for me, in my state has a very good chance of being illegal 16x over in California...and a 100x over in Greece.

Similarly, if you were to do a render of Les Paul playing a Fender guitar, you might get into trouble with his estate - because Les Paul had a deal with Gibson, not Fender.

(Example picked because, as far as I know, there is no Les Paul morph out there.)

Hello everyone, my name is Bert. I am new to this forum and yet learning more about it. I am a 3d artist who specialize in creating morphs for Poser and Daz Studio, working with models like V4, M4, Genesis, a read a post describing how there were not to many celebrity based models of color ranging from Asian, Hispanic, Black, Natives, or others. My models are based on just that. I work on models from tv shows, films, sports, reality television, runway models, famed pornstars, and such. I am working on two models based off of two African-American women known for television hits. One of the models is Tisha Campbell-Martin from the the hit shows "Martin" and "My Wife and Kids". The other is Regina King from the shows "227" and "Southland". I working with the texture for both of them to a high quality standard. When I am finish, I start up my vendor on runtimedna.com. I have more to come.
