    Pro is a free download.

MediaBang Paint "basic version" is for IPAD, IPHONE, ANDROID

So the Pro version must be for computer desktops/laptops

    Premium is the paid version

Just bought a laser cutter/ engraver and came across...

free Slicer software here - you can turn your obj's into sliced model thingoes

    Slicer for Fusion 360 (autodesk.com)

It's stand alone so you don't need fusion 360.

The idea is to slice obj's so you can cut them out in slicers and glue them together - this is a lamp that is included with the software and also daz's anubis. Don't worry, i'm not going to make an anubis sliced in cardboard as it is probably against tos.

I can see interesting effects bringing them back to carrara

Slicer can do unfolded paper models as well, but you need a really low poly model with the right topology for this to work well. Pepakura gives more options for unfolding a paper model, but its not free; however, its fairly low cost.

What kind of laser cutter / engraver did you get?

Really cool. I still prefer making my own, but this was a fun trip and I'll certainly remember to check it out more from time to time! Cool little tool!

Yeah! Wow! Crazy! Unfortunate - Fortunate - Amazing - Bummer!!!

With all of the apparent advancements that have gone into VUE 2024 and Plant Factory 2024, it's a shame to see this popular, professional 3D Environments studio get kicked into the abondonware bin. But for those of us who could never try it - just could not afford it - it's a great new opportunity - albeit there will be no further updates.

Both 2023 and 2024 versions are now free, since the decision to stop further development happened just as VUE 2024 and Plant Factory 2024 reached their "Complete" states - so they're basically a stable Beta version without all of the rush of updates after being released to the public - but the page tells of the advancements, which are numberous. So it's cool that we can install and use both.

Daniel from Vue said that they are thinking about how to make Vue OpenSource. The Vue X-Treme Plugins are the proprietary parts that cannot be open-sourced (3ds max, Cinema 4D, Maya etc.)

because of it, they made Vue OpenSource before it faces permadeath. even if Vue gets stripped by the Plugins for X-Treme, it's still a hell of a beast of software that needs to find a competitor first. Bryce could have been that competitor (sort of), but let's hope Vue get's OpenSource rather than screwed by another software company who promise and don't deliver. We have seen it before …

He also pointed out that parts of the code are used in other applications developed by Bentley, so there is considerable risk in open-sourcing the code. Also, going open source can be an issue due to the licensed, third-party libraries that were most likely used for some featuers. I would not  be sanguine about the potential for Vue to be made open source, although Bentley does seem to have been willing to invest some resources so far and might perhaps therefore be willing to do more.
