How do I fit Unshaven to G2M?

Supposedly this is possible, but my results have been... not good.

I'm using a bunch of morphs (aging and expression stuff).

Some searching uncovers mention of Transfer Utility, but I can't make any sense out of how I'm supposed to use it.

Help?

To be clear, Unshaven beard here: http://www.daz3d.com/unshaven-beard-for-genesis

The problem is that most facial expression morphs have autofollow turned off so as not to create kinks in hair or helmets. If you click on the gear icon to the right of the parameter slider for the morphs the beard isn't following you can set autofollow on.

is it possible to make a pose preset to toggle auto-follow on morphs?

so don't have to manually do it every time i want to use a beard

    Thanks :)

i'se having a bad feeling about using conforming beards in ca :shut: i just bought the mec4d dragon rider yesterday, wanted the beaded beard in carrara scenes. woes

Aaaand changing the 'auto follow' is still not doing anything.

At last count, morphs that seem to be causing problems:
None of the expressions (Happy, Scream, etc. The beard will move a little to follow the overall jaw movement, but the changes to the face are ignored)

Stuff that shapes the face seem to have a 50/50 chance of being recognized. Morphing the lips and reloading the beard seems to work. Morphing the cheeks, not so much.

All of this is after making sure Auto-follow is on.

So I'm still stumped and I'm confused why other folks seem to be having better luck. :/

    Edit:
For example, make a G2M, set Happy expression to 'auto-follow,' make him Happy 1.0, then apply Unshaven beard (Genesis/full-body), look at his upper lip.

(This is important to me and will probably spell the difference between whether I stick to Genesis or not, because Unshaven is just that versatile for, like, ALL MEN)

I'd just give up and get Boris beard or something, but ... Unshaven is just so massively versatile, it's a lot to leave behind.

I have no idea how I'm supposed to use it. There is no documentation anywhere and in just doing default attempt, had no visible change.

In my experience, after enabling autofollow, I have to delete the conforming item and load a new one for anything to happen.

Also, for genesis 2, the open mouth morph isn't just a morph, it also moves the lower jaw bone downwards, which I can't get the unshaven beard to accept at all. If there's any way to do that, I'd love to know.

Perhaps the info in this thread by Marmalade Boy can be of assistance?

Yeah, I've been just applying a new beard each time to make sure I'm not skipping something.
So far I've had 0 success. I tried moving the jaw back to normal, still no go.

On the plus side, I've learned how to select multiple items... hold down ctrl and just hover over them.

Edit: Except I just noticed that if I select a bunch of stuff and change a parameter, it doesn't actually affect all of them AAAAARGH

Well, using the transfer utility, I managed to get open mouth to work for the beard, but unfortunately, it doesn't quite fit in the default position. I'll have to see if I can get around that, because otherwise, it works with my morphs.

Also, I'm not completely sure about this, but I think you have to set the morphs in the "base figure, pose controls, head" to auto-follow, not the ones in the "head node, pose controls, head". I ended up just setting all of genesis 2's morphs to auto-follow, which I can't recommend, especially if you have poke away.

I think at this point I just have to give up and stick with Genesis 1 for any males with facial hair, at least until something explicitly set up to play nice for G2M comes out.
