Diffeomorphic DAZ MHZ problem

3dQuill3dQuill Posts: 35
February 2022 edited February 2022 in Blender Discussion

After creating the MHX rig.  It seems that only about 80 percent of the body is parented to it.  It's pretty much un-useable.  Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?  Also while Im at it,  rigify doesnt parent at all when I create it with Diffeomorphic.  It appears along with the meta rig and seems to be working fine, but not parented at all to my mesh or to the created metarig.

You can use the easy import that does things for you. Also be sure to get the latest update.

It looks like a missing vertex group. Did you change the name of some bone or vertex group prior to converting to MHX?

There might also be problems with meshes that are not children of the armature, but have an armature modifier. Although I think that problem has been fixed.

I figured it out thanks.  I was using a custom g8f rig I made it Daz.  It had thighs and buttocks joints for jiggle.  Apparently that was a no go.  imported the normal G8F model and it worked fine.  Thanks anyways!!

You can add custom bones in the cloth layer in the daz rig, usually layer 3. This way mhx will preserve them in the custom layer.
