I want to nom on something right now but I already had dinner.
turns out that the insurance plan that I have doesn't cover dental visits. Ugg... Time to shell out $90 for an x-ray and dental exam. Ok, I'm going to render Genesis now.
I nomed on the food I got for tomorrow's breakfast which means I need to find something new for breakfast tomorrow.
...speaking of noms, big pot of beef in red curry currently simmering.
In a few, will be time to heat up the wok, let my special stir fry spice elixir simmer while chopping up some veggies, and then toss them in.
Saw promo the other night for what looks like an amateur cook off show ala the Iron Chef. May have to investigate further. I think I could be a contender.
Hunkering down for a big storm heading our way, has gone real dark the past half hour or so
cupcakes suit every occasion
...not seeing much in the way of rain on the radar whee you are but those clouds sure look ominous.
Melbourne and other places in the world have much nicer webcams on the weather site I use than what they give us here in the states. Mostly what we get are the state and local DOT traffic cams which are all aimed at the expressways. Just what I want to see when checking weather conditions elsewhere, nothing but pictures of cars on roads, ugh.
was typing something but accidentally closed the tab. Opps. Typical week in Portland, Oregon. Have an umbrella handy Kyoto Kid.
...nah, don't believe in them anymore. had too many ripped apart by the wind here. Winter isn't just wet, but often windy as well.
All I need a good hat, coat and shoes (all waterproofed of course), that's all.
Besides, I like having both hands free.
Royal/Ball Pythons are the very definition of snakey cuteness :>
I'd say "of all reptile cuteness" but tegu lizards are pretty damn cute too.
Pythons just have that litlte :3 "smile" to their snouts that they just can't hide Eeee~

Yes not much rain around for us the past few months, stuff is starting to look reeal dry. At least the dams are close to full from last year :) Right now is overcast and eerie calm, storms can blow up from nowhere they don't call us the shipwreck coast for nothing hehe. We're being told to clear away anything that might blow away the next 48 hours :)
hehe great avi ;)

achoooo
shnitzzz
sigh can't see my wishlist. haven't seen the dragons without the pc discount.
...first, check the link (if one was provided) in Google to see if it is legit. If thee is no link check the sender's address and/or company name. Job recruitment emails are one vector for identity theft, especially with unemployment still high in many ares. I received many of these only to find no such place existed when I Googled it.
I also tend to get a lot of emails for out of state positions from LinkedIn. Unless it's in a place where I want to live, that has good transit, no "real winter" (at least not months of it), affordable rents, and they will help with all relocation expenses, I reply that I am not interested.
iz from Robert Half Tech. I've worked through them once before.
decided against the offer.
it starts immediately and i'm not about to end 12 years without giving 2 weeks notice. guess i'm just not a bridge burner
Pythons are pretty cool, I had a few friends that kept Ball Pythons.. they.d slither up on me and fall asleep. :blank:
Pure snakey goodness! :cheese:
I've lost 2 umbrellas here to the wind.. it gets stupid windy here. :blank:
I need a rain poncho or (like you) a waterproof jacket and hat. Or a stout raincoat and hood.
Urgh.
Friday, and a few complaints:
- Still cold and damp outside
- Neck and shoulders hating on me
- Have to make bank run in the rain
Non-complaints:
- Payday :cheese:
- Had some money left, bought a few small things AND a new virtual instrument (on sale)
- Lasagna for breakfast, home-made by the bosses wife, sooooooo tasty
- Going to go out for Mexican tonight :)
Hopefully I can finish a music track this weekend and get some renders in. :)
i have salad for lunch. left marshmallow santas at home. tempted to go for chicken wings later. iz gonna be a rainy weekend, no plans to go out at all.
rmp has a shopping mall construction set on sale. comes with escalator stairs. would a space station have escalator stairs?
I haven't seen any space stations on TV that have stairs. They have elevator lifts and teleportation rooms.
SPLASH! Another successful splashdown! :cheese: :cheese:
Pretty cool to watch the Orion capsule come down. :)
One hour until the bank run.. heavy overcast, foggy, and uhm misty out. :blank:
Dunno about lunch.. might take a long lunch and hit Burger King..
thinking of trying to make some home made stirfry. never made it fresh before.
i've never seen fresh bokchoy in my supermarket. so far i have beef, brocolli, lemons. i should prolly use like peanut oil?
tee hee  they made a musical of Mr. Grinch http://www.grinchmusical.com/
they shoulda called it a suessical
s,o.p. :) standard operating procedure
don't think i could ever trust a teleporter, not for organic matter.
Hmm... you have a point. Maybe safety reasons? What if you're on the stairs and the ship gets hit by a photon torpedo? :ahhh:

Easy. Just run from side-to-side while they tilt the camera.

christmas bells, christmas bells ringing ...

Why would that be less scary in an elevator? "In case of photon torpedo attack - do not use lift!"

...wow, I didn't even realise there was a test flight. To think I'm a kid from the old "Space Race" days who has seen every manned launch from Friendship 7 to the Skylab missions (including the unmanned Agena and Skylab spacecraft launches). Nothing was more impressive and majestic than seeing that big Saturn V (about as tall as a 32 story skyscraper) lifting off of pad 39A.
Back then, a launch was a major event that was covered on all three television networks. Liked CBS the best as they had Walter Cronkite calling the shots.
Easy. Just run from side-to-side while they tilt the camera.
...kind of like we often do here in Portland riding while on a Tri Met bus that is negotiating our lovely potholed streets (sans tilted camera). ;-)
