It seems, rarestone left like the others without a word. At least her items are disappearing :-(
Maybe this [Gumeroad store] will be her new place (why of all places on the earth did it have to be gumroad)? But I don't know, of course, as she didn't tell.

Aww and there were a couple more pose sets I needed from them too and was planning to get the high schooler version of Minto and I have the middle schooler version which is a great character

This is outright horrible. Was one of my favorite character creators together with bluejante and cherubit.
Also.. does gumroad even paypal? in my browser, when i click for alternative payment instead of card, nothing appears at all.
Glad I picked up the Gou Luk Bundle when I could. (Was always on the fence about it because a lot of rarestone's products had really large download sizes. Missed out on that Karyssa Fairy Outfit though, oh well.)
We probably won't see those other HD characters either, since HD can only be sold at DAZ.
Yes, this keeps happening, Pa disappears suddenly without any hint... The store should give us users the time to grab as much as we can before the PA leaves.
That's sad, Rarestone is my favorite. I completely get wanting to set up your own shop and make more from your work, but then you also have to question how many folks will find you outside of Daz or Rendo (and I only look at Rendo when I see somebody posting something neat from there on Facebook). I'm not going to chase down my favorite PA's in various places to keep up to date with their latest characters and such. Sigh.

Also some people would only buy during sales and will not buy at all at full price, regardless of reasons (personally i surely started buying less fullprice releases when in my country national currency got devalued 2-3 times compared to usd, and i know many lost jobs during covid). So by not having sales you get more money from fullprice buyers, but you get none from those who could buy as well.
I really wish vendors wouldn't do that. How hard can it be to just post a notice in the forum a few days in advance? How could it hurt them?
Minami is still there. Could be another case of their catalogue being purchased by Daz.
It might be that they would like to post a notice but Daz doesn't want any advertising of alternate product sites (quite understandable, even if a little frustrating from our point of view) so such a notice would be very short-lived.
It's up to the seller to add PayPal to the checkout form, maybe they aren't aware of that.
I can understand that, but maybe the notice could just be limited to 'we're leaving soon, better buy now' with no specific future destination given. That would still help so, so much. And wouldn't hurt DAZ's sales.
I never heard of gumroad. How much traffic could gumroad possibly have compared to DAZ? So they make a few extra percent at gumroad? And 90% less customers.

Gumroad is usually a supplement for creators with an already-established online presence. There's a lot of good Blender Youtubers who use it for their paid courses.

I don’t know why they can’t have both. Keep their older products here and sell some new ones there. Or maybe they already did and and have such a good following that they pulled everything. Sad to see some of my favorites go.

Exclusivity. Daz wants products to be exclusive in most cases. While you might find a number of PAs in multiple stores, you will rarely find their Daz Store content in other stores. I don't know if Gumroad wants them exclusive, I haven't seen anything saying so yet.
Also, if a PA is popular, they know their customers will probably seek them out. If I can get 90% from one store, and I have people that will follow me to that store, why would I sell my products for 50% at the old store? Seems kind of pointless to me. I suspect Gumroad is set to explode in popularity.
If someone could DM me that link too- much appreciated. I'm not sure which site has worse search results. I use Gumroad all the time but 99% of the time stuff I find is from direct links given and Daz store search has only gotten worse for me over the past year, especially if I don't know the item exact name or maker. Sad to see so many PAs I like leaving-some of my fav items in my library are by Rarestone.

Google "gumroad" and "rarestone" and you have the link. But as I already stated above: rarestone didn't inform us, so nobody knows if thats really her and nothing is sold there (yet) anyway.
Um, the Rarestone I see on Gumroad is not the same Rarestone. The logo I see on the Gumroad page, which is a red diamond with the word 'rarestone' is completely different. After some searching I found that same logo...there is no way it is her, unless she has taken a dark turn. O.O
So for now we don't know what is going on. Whatever has happened is a big blow. Her content was unique and often special.
And another one - me - asking for a PM with a link to her shop, pls...
