Dforce one person in my scene at a time (again)

I am struggling understanding how to simulate one person at a time. I choose the one person and click Similulate Selected.
It does not run through the timeline or similate. Would appreciate help.

    I figured it out - I was selecting the figure. I needed to also select all children. Thanks
