Is OBJ or DAE best fit for Blender->DAZ workflow?

Vijay SridharaVijay Sridhara Posts: 137
August 2021 in Blender Discussion

I have the following requirement, please recomment the right workflow

1. I have complex model in Blender to be sent to DAZ

2 There are child objects which need to retain their transformation flexibility in Blender (For example A room can have doors and windows, which need individual flexibility to rotate)

3. Materials need to be identified by DAZ (as far as possible)

4. No flaws in model migration

Thank you

Use the Blender "Export_dsf_props" plugin. https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/67464/getting-objects-from-blender-to-ds/p3

Thank you. Does it also export materials?

Not the actual materials, only the material names/groups.

From what I see it can also export rigged figures from blender to daz with some limitations. That's an amazing feature, thank you @millighost for your nice work.
