if anyone is looking for a challenge/idea, I was thinking about superhero movies and how people like to throw around the phrase "grim and gritty" and thought that's a great name for a duo - Grim and Gritty.

Just a quickie made for my son. Couldn't think of a name so Captain Conundrum was born! Love the Genesis supersuit.

Heh, I like the name, but would be baffled as to what their super-power would be!

I love that product, too. Which set are those textures from?

Thanks. His powers have me stumped at the moment...

I've only got the supersuit itself at the moment, it's the padded/quilted material. No addon packs yet.

His suit is made of hi-tech bubble-wrap, giving him near-invulnerability when being shipped overnight. :)

Maybe that's his power - all the villains are overly cautious of how to respond, because they have no idea what he can do. :D

Wow, great look... I haven't really explored most of the materials and shaders within it, even though I've had it for ages. Too busy using it to supplement other costume stuff!

Grim and Gritty; two hobos camping near the railroad tracks when a train hauling toxic waste derails, the two are dowsed in the waste and gain super(?) powers. Grim has the power to make his foes so depressed that they just give up. Gritty has the power to manipulate dirt, grime and trash to use it as a weapon or shield.

Trying to build a superman G2M from bits and pieces of different outfits.
Smay's supersuit for G2F with custom textures, Cape from one of luthbel's sets. boots from M4 regency.

I am going for some of the classic superman look and some of the new suit designs.

What do you think? Am I going in the right direction?

Image is kinda dark RAWN. Looks good but Supes body is a bit over the top bulk wise. I'd stream line him a bit more.

    Thanx Ramwolf.
I was going for over the top with buffness...but maybe you are right and I will tone him down a bit...at least slim out his waist maybe stretch him taller too

Yea, that would work. I've seen him really over the top like that by some artists but never seemed quite right to me but you know.... it's all in how we are envisioning our art. Taller for sure, slimmer waist, yes!

Yeah, both representations are valid. Although, the character always looks better, to me, when depicted as athletic, rather than overly muscular. Same goes for Batman.

I think it has to do with them often being depicted as using their reflexes and acrobatics: A bulky, muscular character feels like they'd have more difficulty doing so.

The Predators, in the first 'Alien Versus Predator' film, looked a lot bulkier than in previous movies and came in for a lot of criticism for it. They didn't seem to move as gracefully as before. When slimmed down, they worked much better. I think that, psychologically, a similar principle applies here.

Having said that, it's a difficult compromise to portray effectively. :)

I loved Millers Daredevil but most of his work for DC I could easily forget! Just my point of view there. lol

    Thanx Guys

Here is a taller slimmer waist.
I still have a ton of bulk on him, but I agree, he looks better this way.
I am not crazy about his belt either...may have to keep looking what I have that could work.

Great Punisher - really moody and the detail is crazy. Marvel oughta do a one-shot of this guy.

Although, I guess when you're already in Medieval times you can't tell someone you're going to "get Medieval on them"...

I like the sense of motion in this one. Did you blur it in post or use depth of field?

And Lois looks way hotter than she's usually depicted. She's got a "Zatanna" vibe going on here...can't be mad at that :)

With many thanks to JohnDelaquiox for helping me to find the right "costume" to Lord Greystoke, here's my take on Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle.

Having watched 'Man Of Steel', this evening, the store seems badly in need of futuristic suits of armour for G2F and G2M in the style worn by Zod's troops... Those costumes looked incredible. Black, solid and chunky, but nicely segmented in all the right places. Is anyone planning a product along those lines?

...check Xurge's store. I know he has someone helping with creating Genesis/G2 amour as well.

I also find most Xurge outfits for M4/V4 tend to autofit pretty well.

Niiiiiiiice. Looks like Tarzan got there just in time for the beginning of a battle royale.

What prop are you using for the jungle?

Also, the only thing I might add to this is a little shadowing under the feet to "ground" the characters.

    Great stuff.
