Imported Custom Morph Breaks model

June 2021 in Blender Discussion

Okay so I'm at a loss. I'm new to this, but I figured I could follow instructions. I made an elf ear morph to test custom morphing in blender for DAZ. I followed all the prep-export-import-sculpt-export-load directions to the letter, as far as I can tell, and no matter what happens the above is the result. I even made a "blank" export test which was just the G8F model exported-loaded in blender, and imported back. Same result. I didn't tweak the model at all. Here are my export settings.

Scale at 1%. No other tweaks. I sculpt the model with dyntopo turned off.

Selection only, objects as OBJ Objects, 100x scale, polygroups and Keep Vertex order checked. When I run morph loader I leave it at the default of daz setting (1 unit = 1 cm), and I change reverse deformations to yes. Where is my mistake? Thanks for any help.

I believe Blender has an option to preserve vertex order on both import and export - did you have both checked?

Well... I feel dumb. My friend must have had his auto set like that he just didn't think of it. Thanks a million!
