What has happened to the site http://chohole.ovbi.org?

Sometimes I think we take sites for granted. One prime example is Chohole's site and all those beautiful re-textures. Even if you're not downloading a texture, it is a beautiful site to look at.
So it is that I came to wonder why the site is suddenly down. I think it would be a huge loss for the 3d community, if it was.

cheers

Unfortunately  it is down.  My site host was Kendall Sears and he passed away last year.  My son, who was webmaster, had a catastrophic HD failure  and it was the HD which carried the back up.

There are, I believe, software's that will copy all the contents of an old archived website from some site like the "Waybackmachine" enough to be able to reconstruct and republish a lost website.

It is still on the Waybackmachine.

It is great that at least some of the site is preserved. However, unfortunately it appears that at least the textures for the Mophing Fantasy Dress (page 7) are not in the archive.

I suspected as much. These are horrible times.

Incidentally, the Waybackmachine only stored a fraction of the zip files. (For the MFD but little else). That said, quite a lot of the site's presentation was stored, though there are many images missing. With respect to the site recovery, I think you know best. Sure, there are all kinds of possibilities but it's also a question of viability. Irrespective of what the future brings, chohole.ovbi.org remains one of those sites, I would be very sad to see go. I feel, we've lost too many sites for DAZ/Poser users (I rather liked morphography for some reason)

Chohole, your site is a gorgeous resource. It'd be great, if it got a new future.

If indeed, it could mostly be reconstructed from the "wayback machine," what would be the biggest blocker to bringing it back?

Perhaps, there is a ghost world where lost images hang around until their task on Earth is finished.  Disembodied bits wafting through the quantum fields of reality.indecision  A whole new field for Mediums to engage in.enlightened

The version on the way back machine is not live,  and it appears to be an older iteration

Bonus points for the "6th Sense" reference!

Chohole, what would you guess is missing, 10%?  50%?  Something worse?
