  That sounds like creating a morph, rather than converting from one figure to another.

  @Richard, that may well be.

  To clarify, I'm pretty sure that it was a forum post, not the tutorial mentioned. It amounted to manyally adjusting the clothing to "Fit" the target character, exporting an obj and then reimporting the obj.

  Vaveat: I may be totally mir remembering this.
