Just seen this through a Facebook ad;

Extremely interesting direction and one I definitely did not see coming!
Forum flair is also an interesting concept, I wonder if it'll encourage more posters here.
What are your thoughts?

ah it's a pinned post! That's why I missed it!
Too much money for characters I don't know about ahead of time (one day isn't enough). I don't want more female characters and for all I know they could ALL be females. Don't think forum flair is a draw, period. I for one don't care if I have a cute little flag next to my name or not ;). I already belong to Platinum Club. This feels like it diminishes the value of that.
Normally, I don't spend much more than 50 dollars at a shot here at Daz. It's a hobby for me and I think the majority of us (and I think Daz might have lost sight of that). Even so, I already have thousands of assets from a couple of decades of shopping here. For a newbie, this might be a draw, I dunno. For a long-time frequent customer, I don't think it would so much.
Vaguely interesting, but I don't need more characters, I need more clothes and since this looks like just 5 base characters and their HD, the other stuff just doesn't have much pull. Now if it were 5 bundles, different story. But pretty much $30 each for 5 unkown base characters + HD addons, and 2 random freebies just seems a bit much. The forum flair is meaningless, and I've little patience for webinars.
I think it could have been a good idea, if the value was real (if people actually saved money) and could be clearly seen/communicated. But there's no indication on how this will affect the prices of the bundles for these characters, and it's very possible people will actually lose money on this deal if that is not treated carefully. We also don't get to know what the webinar will be about (Unless I've missed it?) so there's no telling if it will even interest us. Another case of Daz needing to communicate more clearly, I think.
I don't particularly like the forum flair. I do not care for the design, it might make people targets, and it isn't worth paying for. But others like that sort of thing. Perhaps if it could be enabled/disabled?
As far as the unreleased figures. I really only buy male figures, so if I could choose the gender, I'd be more inclined to prebuy. But I can't use 6 new female daz dollies, no matter how well made.
