As topic suggests, so I converted my animation into a block without problem and wish to save it to a folder, but the "save as" option is all grayed out, no path forward, any suggestion on why it's happening and how to overcome it?
Is that aniMate 2? Pretty sure the free version doesn't save them.
Hi, what do you mean by "free version"? Didn't Daz bought out the whole aniMate products and intergrated them into their own pipeline that implemented them as free tools into Daz studio?
I'm still fairly new to Daz(started July) and still learning it's eco system. So you are saying, there's a paid version and only then it will allow me to save my aniBlock? >_<
The animate included with the daz studio download is just a trial demo version. You have to unlock the animate2 timeline by purchasing a license for it which will unlock all the tools and features in animate 2 . which includes saving animation as aniblocks
I don't own aniMate2 but hoping for a really good sale soon so that I can get it. I hear that the "Leisure Time Bundle" (which has aniMate2 included) goes on sale more frequently than just the base aniMate2 product so I've added them both to my wish list.

AniMate is still owned by GoFigure, it was only KeyMate and GraphMate that Daz purchased.
Just a friendly reminder, I'd recommand disable the "create aniBlock" feature altogther, it's super confusing and annoying that have a feature half working, allow users to creat but not allowed to save, then the next thing you know is that "hey! just buy another $60 product if you want to use it fully" I mean I don't mind to get aniMate if I knew it was the case to begin with, but the way animate/aniBlock set you up to buy the produt is super cheesy.

That totally make sense now, thanks, it breaks my heart that I need to spend another $60 just to save the stuff I created
