Mayself as well. The Face Control jumped from $13 & change yesterday on introduction to over $20 today. That's a big jump on a 2nd day product.
It's also completely broken in another way: it's unable to apply filters for Daz Originals on a sales page that clearly has Daz originals. Or the figures in the filters list being unordered. It's like there's a flag that needs to be manually set on every sales page or something.
That's been cropping up at random on any store page. Re-selecting the already selected order setting seems to fix it.
I believe it was in Not a fan of the new product library layout thread where I said I wouldn't mind if the information was in a drop-down as long as it was there.
Here's the thing about the Description: for a lot of products, it's a short paragraph or two, (if there is a meaningful description—a conversation for a different thread.) But the 8 Pro Bundles all include the same umpteen paragraphs about how superior Genesis 8 is, requiring we scroll down, and down, and down, to get to the thumbnails of the products included in the bundle. Some products include an embedded video, which previously wasn't on the Product Library page, but is included now. Also requiring one to scroll a ways to reach the download links.
I think the hide/unhide arrows are a decent compromise.
The information is loaded when the page loads, the same as it would if it weren't hidden. You don't have to wait for it to be loaded when you click on an arrow. I think it would be a simple matter for Daz to code the page for the Description to be in a visible state. Then if you wanted to get to the links below, it woud be quicker than scrolling to click on the arrow to hide it.
I'd also like to see one added with promo image thumbnails. This would be especially useful for products that are inactive.
I have a theory, based on experience with CSS, though admittedly not recent. I believe the containers for the content that allows the hide/unhide functionality to work will not wrap around the image. If so, the Description must start below the image. That leaves a lot of nothing to the right of the product image.
I do, however, believe there is a far better use for that empty space than the bit about Daz Central. Daz has moved the Daz Connect buttons below the download links. I believe copy and link for Daz Central should be down there as well. Then in the white space below the "View Product Page" link and "Product Sku: XXXXX", Daz could include the "Install Types:" While they might be the same for most products, there are the occasional products, (scripts, for example,) that won't work if installed with Daz Connect and need to be installed with DIM, (Daz Central?) or manually. While that is information we would usually overlook, it would come in handy occasionally.
I'd also like to see the SKU link to the Readme page. Daz might find that problematic as bundles don't get Readmes. (They should, if only to list included products and link to those product Readmes.)
Seriously, even if you're new and use Daz Central, once it's installed, you don't need a link to it on every one of your product pages. At least the Daz Connect buttons serve a real purpose, for anyone wanting to use connect with computer that stays offline.
I find the current iteration of the Product Library pages to be an improvement over the version that showed up during the store changeover, but I think there are more things Daz can do, programmatically, that can make it better than it was before they started changing it in the first place.
Any idea when PC+ coupons will start working again? I haven't been able to use my coupons so far this month and it's half over.
I didn't realize there was a problem. Used both of mine already.
They've been working for me. Are you having other am-I-in-PC issues?
I was when the store first updated, but those got fixed. Everything looks okay on my Platinum Club tab so I thought everything was fixed but haven't been able to use either of my coupons yet.
I used both of mine last week, but there were many complaints that they wouldn't work since the change. Not sure what the remedy was (help ticket?) or just try again when the site was calm(er) (no fixes in process, off-peak hours)? Do I recall someone saying they were case-sensitive? I didn't have to jump through any hoops because they went through on the first try, so, sorry, nothing more to add.
I always copy and paste the codes so they should work. My PC+ expiration date is showing correctly now and I have access to the PC+ items with the correct discounts and I can access the Platinum Club forum. I just can't use my coupons. I've included a screenshot of my cart after trying to use the coupons for a DazO product. Unless something has changed, we should be able to use the coupons on a new item, but it's not working.
I guess I'll put in a ticket.
Make sure copy/paste is not tacking on a leading or trailing space character. Other people have mentioned having that problem.
I thought there was an issue with leading/trailing blank spaces in the coupon codes if you cut-and-paste them. Maybe check to see if that's the problem you're having?
Weird. It didn't look like there were any leading blanks, but that fixed the problem. The coupon was accepted. Thanks! I was kicking myself for not buying the Face Controls yesterday, but then the discounts I got yesterday on the other products weren't working which I guess was a glitch. At least with the coupon applied, the price looks a little nicer on this.
Using CSS, they can easily create a DIV and with padding or setting margins (avoid the floats as not all browsers do those the same) they can easily wrap text. They can also do a relative or absolute positioning, and yada, yada, yada. There's a heap of things they could do.
Most of my content (most recents, first page, at least) won't download manually. I didn't check older files. Too tired...
They just give a blank page with small text in the corner saying "expired_auth_token" and the status is "401."
A few random files do download, though. I didn't bother downloading any, though. Just checking.
Meh. Tired of this. Finding it harder to believe, as the days go on, that most of this isn't fixed yet. What about people whose jobs/incomes rely on having access to their content? (Not referring to me)... I'll live ;-)
Can you give a few examples? I just tried one item and it downloaded OK.
Okay, now my DIM is giving me "Install Failed" messages. It downloads all right, but it won't install.
____________
OOPS! My bad. I just realized that my external drive was unplugged. Duh. Being a dumb blonde again!
My DIM won't even connect to my Daz3D store account.
What I mean is that it says I have 0 items to be downloaded, when in fact I have many, many more than that. I am connected to the internet and all that jazz.
..still cannot check out. Tried to with a regular PC+ item in the cart and I get the same error. I did some shopping on Sunday and my Debit Card worked fine at the grocers.
My billing address on the account page is up to date and accurate. Also still unable to save my card info. No reply on the ticket and really don't want to wait 4 - 6 weeks as this is somewhat serious.
Please try again, the servers have been given a good going-over
Am I the only one seeing this?
Nope. I'm seing that too. Those are the discounted prices. The list prices are definitely higher.
...if this is in reply to my post, neither process worked. Still getting the error message on the checkout page and unable to save my card profile (even entering a "nickname") on the Account page. Wish we could still view tickets like we could the old tech support site allowed to see what stage they are at.
Did you delete and re-input your address?
Wow... I'm sorry to hear that :(
I had no problems with Paypal, until part way through the same week of the store upgrade. Successful transactions have been "hit and miss" ever since.
I'm on Firefox now. But the site is really lagging (swirlies, swirlies everywhere). I'm paranoid about buying stuff from Chrome, but I wouldn't trust buying from the store on this browser either.
Firefox is also telling me that "parts of this page aren't secure (such as images)". I don't know if that's normal, but I felt that I should point it out.
No change in my status.
- DIM does not show any items that I own but have not downloaeded yet. Even bought a new item to trigger a change on DAZ side.
- DIM does show items I have downloaded through DIM but not intsalled yet.
- DIM does show items I have downloaded and installed through DIM.
I have double checked that I am connected to the internet, connected to my account, the DIM settings are to my database location, rebooted machione, logged in and ond out of DIM and my Saz account.
...somehow the information for my payment method must have been corrupted between Friday (when I had no difficulty placing my order), and Saturday (when this began). Remmber the first error I recieved read something like "No" or "Not enough USD Available" which made me wonder if my card/account had been either comprimised or a hold was placed on them.
On Sunday, I checked the Address Book on my profile page and saw a couple duplicate entries there, so I deleted all of them all and manually re-entered the information yet that did nothing and the checkout issue persisted.
Ah - not just that. Notice the complete absence of the original price and product name as shown in this snap of the store. The other is snap of today's sale page. And the cute little icons at the bottom are missing for all of today's new products on both pages.
Looks like the product names are white-on-white
Got my account working last night. Just deleted my payment info and entered in a new one and purchased the platinum account again. I hope it doesn't suddenly cancel my subscription again though. :0
