...still experiencing extremely sluggish response just with the Daz site (Forums and Store). Spent nearly fifteen minutes waiting for the page to refresh and sign on to work before I could even start this. It is making me feel I am back on my old unstable wireless plan than high speed broadband.

Before it is even asked, yes, I cleared my cache & such.

When I first came to this page, all the banners had the "broken graphic" symbol.

After I clicked "login", there was a long wait only to receive a "reset" error message.

I backed up and tried again I finally got the sign in page after nearly five minutes of waiting. I clicked the "Login" button only to first wait, and then find myself back to the sign in page, not the thread. After clicking the "Login" button the second time waited another 4- 5 minutes and finally was signed in.

I have no issue pulling up other websites as they loaded almost instantly including those heavy with detailed pages/animations as well as overseas news source sites.

This is making me feel I am hitting some sort of flaky node either at the CloudFlare or the Daz Server source.

I am running FF 28.0 which I've been using for the last couple months with no issue until these last couple days.

I'm just wondering if FF might have updated itself without your knowledge.
...nope still getting the 29.0.1 pop ups but haven't clicked on "update".

Streaming the Beatles Rubber Soul album right now with no issue.

What if someone is dumb enough to buy it?

oh dear. tyler is rendering blue.

    oh dear
    u.s. copyright.gov revised copyright fees.

oh nostalgia. my first tx filing was 1990. 90! 24 foxtrot years ago. hmm big 25 anniv party next year!

    snippet drop :)

the troublesome chapter. maybe it'll read better with chardonnay and juju fish.

    II. Date 215::142
The Adrianna Sea glimmered under the midday sun. Nary a dragon to be seen on the horizon, their domains were way to the North. A range of bluffs girded the coastline. A carrier shuttle hovered in for a landing, touching down on a high altitude parking plateau. Human and elf personnel gathered up their equipment cases and disembarked. A security troll waved people toward a checkpoint, people moved forward in groups.

Gianni rubbed his neck, casually hiding his rank insignia. A standard issue travel coat fit tightly around his muscular figure, it effectively covered the blues of his uniform. The wind whistled a desolate tune, tugged at his coat, and tangled wayward hair strands. He huddled close to a group of technical personnel carrying equipment passed security. Heart thumping, he was soon beyond the checkpoint with none the wiser. He paused for a last look at the vista before leaving the brilliant and pure unpolluted gifts of sea and sky behind. A sensation in his chest tightened for a freedom he'd never known.

A preliminary base of operations was being organized within the bunkers, crammed with hastily rigged computer network paraphernalia. It was a hazard to navigate in the crowded space. A harsh voice rode over the conversations of technical babble. "Recalibrate everything! Our Emperor is the only half breed dragon on the planet. It's impossible we can't pinpoint His sig."

Gianni skirted the mayhem, staying near the walls toward the far side of the room. He crowded a technician's console, hunching over the tech who was sitting there and contributed his own finger typing in an effort to ascertain the best path to follow for a search effort. The technician raised one eyebrow, elf ear twitching, relinquished the keyboard, and slouching, sipped a carbonated beverage; "ah", so refreshing. Food and drink were prohibited near the equipment, but a break area hadn't been set up.

"YOU THERE!" The Field Operations Commander snapped his fingers.

    Gianni ignored the snap.

"I've never seen you before. Report. Who authorized you to be here?" The FOC demanded, commander’s intuition sensing a potential security snafu.

"I am unassigned," Gianni faked an air of authority to which he had no claim.

"This mission is restricted to the senior ranks. We don’t have time to supervise the safety of overconfident undergraduates." The FOC puffed out his chest and pointed to the exit. "This is My Field of Operations! Get out!" He didn't call security, it never occurred to him the order would be disobeyed.

"I will assist the search for Our Emperor without your by leave. I've sworn my Oath of Fealty." He pushed away the memory, the distraction was unaffordable.

The FOC mumbled a level one Spell to amp his voice, confronting this firebrand with the combat trained physique. "Defiance will be dealt with maximum penalty. The only reason I’m not having you escorted to the stasis cells is because I can’t spare the personnel. Mark me! You’ll be brought up on charges of Contumacy!" The FOC shouted more threats, looking livid.

Unheeding, Gianni ran before anyone could stop him. Knocking technicians out of his way, he fled down all the steps, penetrated into the Subterraneum cave system alone in the dark for loyalty to his Emperor.

The FOC rolled his eyes as he heard a male pitched elf voice cry 'woes'. Someone had spilled a drink on a sensitive operator panel. "Someone is going to pay for my crappy day."

Starting to get my feet wet with Zbrush now. Nothing serious, just practicing what I'm reading... Er, watching :)

Entirely likely I'll scrap this down the road when I get more practice in, but at least I'm comfortable navigating the viewport now.

Morning. An hour before dawn and sitting under an ink-black sky spotted gloomy grey from clouds underlit a feeble orangey-yellow by the few lights on city towers. Can't sleep any more, perhaps sunrise will be a distraction later on :)

Getting used to an app's UI is half the job. Once you get used to using new software, the easier it is.

Rex looks like he's coming along nicely, considering you've just started using ZBrush.

    @Misty: this line -

He huddled close to a group of technical personnel carrying equipment passed security.

    should be changed to this:

He huddled close to a group of technical personnel carrying equipment past security.

Other than that...like ps1borg, I don't know what contumacy is...

Oh, looked it up in my Funk & Wagnall's:
contumacy: Contemptuous disobedience of authority; insolent defiance; insubordination.

nice model. I still haven't created anything with Hexagon 2.5. I bought it when it was on sale for $1.99.

Next, I will need to learn how to create texture images.

I got it at full price, only used it a few times, but never made anything with it. Heh, I made more with Carrara 6's hopelessly backwards modeling tools than I did with Hexagon, despite the tools seeming to be easier and more powerful!

On a similar note, I did more texture/material wise in Carrara than I did in Cinema 4D as well. Can't say the same for Splines and Models though :)
Never did understand Carrara's "spline" tool. Only got abstract and deformed... Things... Out of it

Poked around more on my "model" just now. Picking away at it and hoping I'll find some form in the guy. Still need to address the toes and his missing one finger though :)
