Looking for a large concrete lot to use as a parking lot.
in The Commons
hi all. I am looking for a large concrete or asphalt lot to use as a parking lot.
I am trying to build a truckstop and so far i have not found anything useful at Daz.
hoping some of you might have an idea for a product that I can use.
Thank you all.

But why not just use a plane and apply an asphalt or concrete shader to it ?
most of Stonemasons urban sets have parking lots and can use his shaders that come with with masks and textures to apply to a plane as well
I don't know if this is of any use, but one of my freebies has an option for a big open concrete floor...

It's a very large prop meant to go with the Wakefield Zeta Pulse Reactor Mk.67... It measures somewhere around 752 Feet/229.3 Meters- Wide, 288 Feet/87.8 Meters Tall and 682 Feet/207.8 Meters Deep give or take a few feet.
Another suggestion for variations: the morphing terrain prop in Maclean's Everyday Morphing Primitives set has a few fairly easy to use, built-in deformations. And ground and nature shaders (like those from Jen Greenlees) can help to add weeds and patches of irregular surface.
Here is the morphing terrain with some sample "dirt" on it... I have tweaked the x and y values of the texture file to "2.50" here, instead of "1.00".
What I'll often do is use one of the free HDRI's from HDRIHaven. There's a couple of parking lot related HDRI ones.

That'll give you an HDRI sphere for lighting as well, if outdoorsey lighting is what you are shooting for. Won't help much if you are just doing 'Scene Only', and will be hit or miss if you are adding buildings and such to your scene. At that point, you may as well do the plane primitive as your ground plane thing, as noted above, although the HDRI might still be useful for sky and horizon purposes...
Another option could be something like "Level 13" and use the slabs to kitbash the size of lot you need...

There's a fair sized parking lot attached to this motel. You can remove the buildings. It is pre iray though, so 3DL conversions necessary.

THIS has a separate parking lot with movable (separate props) medians, curbs, arrows, and parking space lines.
