How not to do promo images - Nautical Nonsnese and BFM: The Abyss Fields
To be clear, I'm not saying that these aren't pretty images, because they are. However, do they serve the basic purpose of showing what the product actually looks like? Not so much. Seven illustrations devoted to Nautical Nonsense's main product and all in near identical semi-silhouhettes under the exact same blue/orange lighting conditons? Three or four in the sunset lighting would have been more than sufficient and then we could have had something under normal sunlight, or at least a flat grey version. Beneath Fire Mountain: The Abyss Fields is even worse. Again, nice, pretty pictures, but between how dark they are and the heavy monochromatic lighting used in each illustration I'm not really sure what colors the new textures of rock actually are... or if, indeed, there aren't any and the new textures basically consist of new colors for the emmisive lights.

Agreed. It's also good to see characters and outfits in a variety of lighting conditions.
Oh, and while we're at it: material zones for outfits, please!
These are better renders than many on store, particularly the Nautical Nonses one. Come on, there are much worse than these.
The fact that there are worse doesn't make these better. And yes, I agree that there are far worse, but the fact that these two came out on the same day and they're both DAZ Originals and PC+ items, made them really stand out. To be clear again, these are all aesthtically nice and there's absolutely nothing wrong with having a couple of moody pictures included in a batch of promos... but when you can't even tell for sure what color something is out of the box, or what is actually included, from a section of well over a half-dozen promo images, then their value in determing whether a product is worth buying is severely diminished.
As for Nautical Nonsense....PC+ members - is it showing as $17.95 for you too? It's showing as $17.95 with no discount and no PC pricing for me. The rest are corrrect, except that one.

Prob a pricing error,... I remember that it was about $4 when I added it to my wishlist for purchase later today. I am sure the Daz team will fix it shortly.
It's being fixed ASAP.
Thanks. I put in a ticket just in case ;)
I agree about the colouring on the BFM: The Abyss Fields. I am struggling to see any differences in the textures of the new versions compared to the base item.
