Got the purple discount popup for this new character who happens to be a Boxing/MMA/UFC/WWE type character (product page finally loaded).. :) Does look interesting and some cool new items, might peak my interest in buying.. :)

That's a hard pass for me. Nothing in that genre interests me. Was hoping Scar would stick around a few more days, but oh well ;). It'll be on sale again at some point. LOL
the purple banner was for buying two new releases the other day in that sale? just checking.
edit: there's two purple banners - one for 20% off the pro for buying the two new releases in the sale, and also 20% off for having a lot of pro bundles.

Well damn... I was hoping for a counterpart to Scar next... Kayo herself looks good, other than that her skin looks like her belly has too much bump, but the rest of the items... I haven't been into wrestling since 2006 or before. And I tossed the requisite items in the cart and still 73.70... no thanks. Gonna be irritated to let the extra 20% off that I got on "the next pro bundle", not even sure that it even applied, but it's not even remotely worth it for a bundle of stuff I will definitely never use.
Well, I only got one purple banner, and I bought 2 new releases the other day... I guess I need to submit a ticket.
Anyone else actually get an extra 20% off for that?
I like the looks of Kayo herself. I think some of those outfits can be used in other genres too - the Take Down outfit is your standard sexy shorts and top and can be used in anything with different textures, the America Bell dress can be retextured to look steampunky or evening out (although I don't like what the fringes on teh gloves are doing in the promos), the Tigress outfit can be a bikini or togs and the 'towel' around her shoulders could be a wrap in a dystopian apocolyptic genre or even fantasy, the Amateur Wrestler outfit - well, a sports outfit or add stuff to it and make it a sci fi top/bodysuit...i feel with the right textures or shading, or even kitbashing, it doesn't HAVE to be all wrestling themed. I think there's enough versatility in those outfits to use in other genres.
Wow, only $15 off DOs even with 4 add-ons? The deals seem to get worse and worse... She's OK, nothing special, I would only use a bit of her to mix with other characters, I like one outfit in the bundle (CB Take Down Outfit) and the Togatta hair especially as used on men. I hate the strategy of making us buy two items in advance to get a discount on a future bundle sight unseen. I wish we could get another character as beautiful as Victoria 7 was. Besides her, I always prefer the PA characters to the Daz core characters.
Weird, I only got one banner. Even though I own a TON of pro bundles AND I bought two new releases the other day during that "Extra 20% off the next pro bundle" offer.
I don't even know which banner I got. It only says "We know you're a pro, so we're offering you..."
I like Kayo herself, and Togata hair. The rest of the bundle is fine, just not particularly for me.
Her HD is ... odd. Normally, if the hand details aren't there, the rest of the HD addon will be fairly undefined. In this case, everything BUT the hands gains from the HD. Weird.
Including animations in a bundle is distinctly unusual. Also gives ThreeDigital their first public credit (for the moment, anyway.)
The offer isn't really clear, but you get $15 off DOs from EACH of those categories. So a total of $90.

I would have liked to have seen a more general "Athletics" look rather than leotards/pyjamas... or at least give us some MMA styules.
Really, multiple leotards? If you look at the texture add ons... the work itself is fine (not going to criticize the artists), but it is all pretty similar in character when you consider the Bundle as an entire entity.
Even in Wrasslin, they don't just wear leotards anymore. And there's no masks? No headgear?
Yeah, CynderBlue's outfit is different from the others... AND it happens to be the Pro Bundle outfit. Funny how that works.
The hair? 2 loose athlete-type hairs, not really styled for a night on the town... and with dForce only in the bundle? Like, who even deals with dForce hair simulations?
Where's the tightly braided hair for combat sports? Look at what they wear in the ring for MMA. We should have gotten something like that. Redz' Togatta hair is at least useful for combat sports, but we could have used tight braids (the ones in QX Kana's promo would be okay)... AND, of course, Togatta hair is also the Pro Bundle hair, like CynderBlue's outfit is the Pro Bundle outfit.
The bundle... I mean, I would definitely go for a wrestling/MMA/athletics bundle, but this one?
I think the individual pieces are fine, but the Starter Bundle is like 2 body sheath leotard-style outfits if you look at the textures. People ripped on Aubrey and Dain clothing items, but those are pretty fancy in comparison.
It's pretty much one style of Wrasslin look only (like glam chick wrasslin), not really useful for MMA, and not a general athletics bundle.
It's interesting that we get animation rather than another set of poses. Again, like dForce hair, it's maybe useful for the small segment of the user base who does that.
So, even if I did get the other discount banner, I don't know about this one.
I really like the look of Kayo, and I even like the theme, but I already got a ton of leotards and body sheath outfits. I've got more useful combat hair.
I got the one about buying two releases, and it says Get Ready To Wrestle With An Extra 20% Off. So you got the one from owning Pro Bundles apparently.

The figure looks good, and as has already been pointed out, the bundle items can be used in other genres with a little creativity. But...like most pro bundles lately, the "deal" just doesn't feel like a bargain any more - even with the 20% banner. Once again, it would be nice if the blurb made it clear that the $15 off is for EACH category. But even with that and the "70% off 8 items", all I am seeing when I put everything in my cart is, "Buy the pro bundle and 4 items and we will let you spend even more money today." It is nice that in some of the categories there are some new additions, but most of those are priced above the $15.
A while back, when you bought a pro bundle and added 4 items, the final total was often less than the pro bundle alone before you added the extra items. That is definitely no longer the case. Maybe I've just been collecting this stuff for too long, so I'm not seeing any bargains at times like this, whereas perhaps someone newer to Daz is able to pick up a lot of content.
I think that I'm at the stage now (and for a while) where I don't need any new figures, so the only thing that would tempt me is the extra items. If I'm almost doubling my cart price just to take advantage of them, then I tend to pass on the whole bundle and wait to pick up individual figures when there is a big sale.
It's a shame because there are some very nice figures being released and I keep passing on them because of the final price. Maybe the pro bundle offers are just aimed at new customers now.
To end on a more positive note though, the base figure is very nice and I'll add to my wishlist for another day.
I'll never let me push into buying two products I don't really want, just to get an 20% off option of an UNKNOWN Pro Bundle.
This time I'm happy as Wrestling is far beyond my interests. So I saved money a few days back and now. :)
However, I think Kayo is a nice character and the variety of pro bundles is getting better again. So maybe I'll grab her later.
I can imagine her as angry little sidekick for Scar, while I hope he gets a tall amazon like (Kristanna Loken styled) woman as a counterpart/loveinterest in a future pro bundle. :)
The Kayo HD Add-on looks on the previews more worth than the last ones.
Kayo 8 looks interesting; the bundle items don't. Wrestling is absolutely not my genre, but this is my personal taste and says nothing about the quality of the bundles.
see, I thought I was going a bit crazy cos I was positive about the same thing! Buying a pro bundle and the maximum add ons made the total LESS than the pro bundle alone. And I haven't noticed that happening lately so thought maybe I had been mistaken. So thanks for confirming that.
Honestly, I feel the "deals" with pro bundles are getting...I don't want to say "worse" as the products themselves are always still good...but more, "less of an incentive". I mean, I can buy the pro bundle on its own, and pick up any add ons down the track when there is another good sale on DO's (as there always is). $15 for each category is ok, BUT most of the products are either just OVER the $15 or just under so you're only getting one item from each. I dunno, I just feel pro bundle deals aren't as exciting as they used to be, and they don't save me money like they used to (which in all honesty, the PRICE will always be my reason to get something, as I'm paying in australian dollars which is WAY MORE than the US dollars in the cart.... $50 may sound like a good deal, but not when I'm actually paying $72 AU)
i don't mind what the next g8 is, but can we try to give her a different nose from the last 10 or so?
the faces are all very same-y. looks like only the skins have been changed in some cases. not meaning to sound negative, but at this stage even a muppet nose would be a welcome relief.
a character isn't just its addons, to me. it's the entire package.
I can get this pro bundle to $37: is that about right for lowest price (with a purple banner and 4 add-ons).
I have to point out that Chevybabe's hair is INCREDIBLY well made. It has morphs for posing without simming for those of us who don't have the machines or the time to simulate. ;) That's why i pass up most dforce hair, but i definitely have all of Chevybabe's hair. my 9 year old beast of a machine really struggles these days but for that hair...worth it :) I cant wait for a new computer (the computer tech told me a 'potato would be better than my graphic card" XD
I'm getting it to about $29. I got the banner for having bought 2 items in the last sale. I did not get one for buying pro bundles. I'm curious if anyone can get it below $29?
Edit: actually, I see in my messages that I did get sent both 20% discounts. Only one purple message is showing at the top of the page; as i recall in earlier sales, you'd see more than one up there. Unless I'm remembering incorrectly.
The pro bundle is going to $29.62 for me - that's with 4 add ons in the cart, plus I am a PC member, plus I got the two purple banners (20% for buying two new releases the other day, 20% off for having a bunch of pro bundles).
thanks for that @DisparateDreamer. I tend to avoid dForce hairs - mainly cos of the simulation time, but also because the textures always look a bit...."fuzzy"...to me. Nice to know the hair will work without dForceing.
I love this bundle. I'm a huge pro wrestling fan, actually watching this week's Raw as I'm checking out the sale. I'll be able to have a lot of fun with this one!
One of the products for Kayo is called "Wrestling Animations' ... but by the pictures I am confused. Are these actual animations (like aniblocks), poses that work together to make animation keys, or simply poses?
Well I didn't get the banner for the extra 20% discount for buying two new releases the other day, but then again I bought two of the previous day's items the second day of that deal, but then again they were still on the same page in the same group as the THREE new items for that day and I was told that it would still work... but then AGAIN, the new pro bundle I would have got the discount on doesn't interest me so... disappointed, but what you gonna do?
