Daz Gallery compression and resizing

So I've noticed this before, but I wanted to know if anyone had any specifics. I uploaded a JPG image to the Daz gallery just now, and when I checked it and clicked on it, I noticed it had been resized to about 75%. When I right-click to open the image in a new tab, it stays the reduced size.The image was 3728 KB. I deleted that, exported the same image, a more compressed JPG, that's now 1260 KB, and uploaded that. This time, when I checked the image it was the full 2560x1440.
Does anyone know what the cutoff for resizing is? Does image format enter into it?

Jpgs, unless the image is very big, should be well within this limit... usually.
I usually upload as pngs because I forget the gallery resizes and they get resized everytime.
