I like the morph and most of the skin, but in the promos it looks like she has a c-section scar. That seems like a rather odd detail for a pirate themed character. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think c-sections were commonplace in the 1600-1800s. I hope there is an option to not have the scar.
She looks fantastic! Whoever did the main promo for her did an incredible job.

One of the first Daz Core characters I actually like in a while! But I really wish I had saved my money and not purchased the Aubrey bundle (which I got only for the PA characters.) I guess you can't even return a bundle when there's so many other things discounted because of it that you do like. Anyway, I do like Sahira! I already have a ton of fantasy stuff but more stuff to kitbash.
I don't understand Wild Waves hair and not sure why we need THREE expression sets and it seems to be that SAME pool of freebies as a zillion times before... But finally a core character I can use at more than 25% morph because she's actually attractive!
She looks great and I appreciate the unkempt hairs and mostly practical clothing. On the other hand, the selection of DAZ originals has still not changed, nor have the other categories and promo items, made even worse by the fact that being order to sort by new arrivals no longer works worth a poop.
It does work, simply the URLs to those categories include a parameter to sort them by popularity (and yes, I find that annoying). Remove the following from the URL to remove the default sort: &order=popular^1
I like her textures and face. Just like was done with the main promo one can do a great job with her and using a different body type.
Looks good and the purple banner might be helpful this time a little bit more. Maybe I'll get her in a few days, if they reduce daz originals during that offer, so I can grab a little bit more for free.
Only thing I've thought, I've never seen so less happening with HD-AddOn applied. I've not seen the soles, yet, but relating the previews I can almost tell no difference. :D
She seems to have a similar automatic realism factor to Dasan. Malay or Indonesian or South Asian, she can fit them all, and she's pretty, which helps. Clothing looks usable, but I'd rather trade the PC+ hats into the Pro Bundle for one of the 2 expression sets or the pose set. And yay! I get $60 worth of stuff that couldn't even make my wishlist. Glad to see EichhornArts back with a new character.
I refuse to buy another non-HD HD Add-On; it will seem like they've learned, but then they go back.
I see HD details in those promos... Granted, they're rather subtle, but still.
Quick test render
"Rather subtle" High Definition seems to me a contradiction in terms.
High definition doesn't have to be much, it just adds details taht are not present in the normal version. Sometimes subtle is best.
My problem here is that it's too generic. It looks like a million HD Add-ons before. You could easily apply one of the many ones from before for the details without problems.

I'm not particularly keen on the offerings in the pro bundle tho - 2 expression packs? Interesting cos normally there would be 1 expression pack and 2 pose packs...hmmmm
I DO like that they've added two pc items in the "add ons" - makes it a tiny bit more affordable for some folks. :)
The "Tassia" character in the add ons is intriguing me - I'm unfamiliar with "Eichhorn Art" as a vendor, and looking at their other products - none of which I own nor have even noticed actually - they are REALLY grabbing me! In fact....does anyone remember a vendor called "Fenrissa" over at the other store? Used to make the most wonderful V4 characters.....my brain is telling me this is the same vendor??? Their "Leenda" and "Estelle Bee" characters in particular are giving me flashbacks to Fenrissa characters!!! I definitely like that they have shown what "Tassia" looks like on just G8F without Sahira..that is always a good thing to know! (my, Sahira 8 is short! wow!)
I do like the "Sabriel outfit" - nice flat boots (YAY!) and as always, Mada does the awesome thing adding in that promo at the end which shows the morphs etc.
Can someone who bought the "dForce Sparrows Mage outfit" show the pants on their own for me? Interested in the waistband and also whether the pants go below the knee so I can see how versatile they are - whether they can be used on their own or other outfits. I like the top, but not the pants and boots really as I suspect they are the standard cut off at the knee type.
Looking forward to more renders of Sahira....she's very interesting to me.

Ahahahahahhahahaaaa! I'm an idiot - Eichorn Art IS Fenrissa! LOL I just found an old thread from about two years ago about it...and I actually commented on it saying how awesome it was to see! *blush*
C-sections existed before 1600, but not the scar... because it was done on dead mother to save the baby. The scar you noticed seems to be a texture problem, easily fixable.

And yeah, that promo made me realize how short Sahira is! I never use bodies as is anyway and usually use fashion model height and lengthen legs so no biggie, but she almost looks like a child next to G8 lol!
Any chance someone who has the character could post a close-up of her lower abdomen to see if that scar/texture problem is present? I'm vaguely hoping it is something someone inadvertantly achieved messing with settings/maps/textures for the promo rather than a problem with the skin itself.
Subtle can be achieved by dialing in anything less than 100%. However, defeating the limits and going over 100% can cause unwanted artifacts. That is, if they give me more, I can get less, but if they give me less, I can't always get more.
The one question it raises, with the recent pairs. If she's the female Valentino, why Aubrey in the middle (and is Aubrey the female version of someone else)?
Problem is, subtle can be done with normal/bump maps, with the added bonus of using less resources.
Sahira and Valentino make a pair. Aubrey 8 is more standalone.
Phew, good that I skiped Aubrey 8. The Sahira Pro Bundle was a no-brainer and came in cheaper than Aubrey if I remember right.
Maybe some items for Sahira were not ready for release last week so her release was delayed. Or simply Daz marketing had decided to wait.

I don't know if this has ever happened to anyone else here, but I got the fright of my life when I pulled up this promo of Sahira this morning because she looks FREAKISHLY like me, including the hair
-- super weird sensation!! Not sure if I like it or not, haha, but I guess it's a positive for the modellers at Daz who are going for realism.
Anyway, I really like her eye textures and she's a good addition to the DO catalog. I'm not sure why I'm not really in love with the bundle... PA characters aren't really grabbing me, the Wild Waves hair is a little odd looking to me as a style although that's not necessarily a criticism, and the outfits all look very similar to designs already in the store (Sparrow Mage outfit -> Soul Keeper outfit for example) but I think that's probably me being a bit too fussy. It fits well with the Valentino bundle.
For you, she'd make the perfect base character, if you decide to have an accurate DAZ avatar for self-portrait renders.
I like it; was actually in my cart, then I realised there were three expression sets; one is too many, so it's a pass for me.
