Any idea when there will be a gift card sale?

After I *drastically* overspent last fall, I made a deal with my wife - I buy a gift card for what I can afford for the month and then only buy as long as I have store credit.  Works GREAT for keeping to a budget.

... except this month when there hasn't be the usual gift card sale (usually hits on the 3rd)!  Any idea when to expect one?

(and, no, I didn't contact Sales since this didn't seem like a 'help ticket' sort of question in terms of priority)

    There's no set rules about sales (except the schedule of the major annual sales). So no one really knows.

    Did you get the purple banner offer for today? The coupon from that offer does work on gift card.

    I got a purple banner for posting in the gallery today.  Worked fine on the gift card I purchased.
