He Loves Him Poses for Genesis 8 Male

Thank you so much, PedroFurtadoArts! I know we've had pro-LGBT-inclusive content released here before, but this is the first pose set designed specifically for same sex male romance I've seen here! A much appreciated contributed to this community! :D

P.S. Yes, I'm still alive. ;P

Yes...i thought so too, looking through various pose sets in the past was partly in thought i could use the female pose on the male figure and hope it looks right, definitely congrats on another amazing product :)

  • It means a lot seeing these poses. Weird how something so small can make you feel kind of emotional.

An insta-buy, for me. Now my characters can snuggle without me getting crazy to adapt etero-couple romance poses! heart Thank you from me, too!

Agreed. While they likely aren't in a "no homo" mindset when they say it (at least, I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt), I don't think the people who parrot the "B-b-but just use hetero couples poses instead!" line of thought don't realize how specifically... gendered some of those pose sets (especially those from certain PAs) are in terms of the female figures' posing. It looks awkward and weird to those who can pick up on the physical differences between males and females at best, and like a really stereotypical yaoi manga at worst, lmao.

DAZ still has a ways to go to be more LGBTQ+ inclusive in terms of content in their store (and to be fair, so does Rendo), but credit where credit is due: I'm happy to see more of it in the store on the blue moon it pops up. And this was an instant buy for me!

Right, but that pose set is catered to both genders. This new one is the very first set released at the DAZ store that is designed exclusively for same-sex male couples.

Exactly this! I've been forced to use male x female poses on all my male x male couples and the way the female poses bend and twist on my "receptive" males causes way too much disoriention, showing just how incompatible such poses are with the fundamental figure rigging. It always ends-up me to take more time to adjust everything than it would to construct a pose from scratch. However, I've never been satisfied with any of my DIY poses, so preset dials really do help when I can use them.

It's odd not seeing one of the couple standing tiptoed on one foot, whilst the other leg is bent at the knee with the foot poking out almost as far as her bottom is.  But these are very well made and I like how he's catered for height differences.  My only minor criticism is trying to figure out who's "a" and who's "b" is confusing, if you don't notice the blue line.

    It's nice to see, yes.

A little odd that it doesn't include one or several kiss poses. But still nice!

Yes! In my observation there is also the issue that females are mostly "overposed" in pose products. Many poses are pin-up-ish - not surprising given this is one of DAZ's major markets but pin-up poses (even if they are designed as casual or relaxed poses). I see this in couple poses too where females are often pin-up-ishly overposed.

Given how rare good male content is overall and how many good products for females don't have a Male equivalent I guess this pose pack becomes even more unique.

Not sure how often I will use these poses, but the fact of the matter is that I bought it in order to show support for this type of content/material and to PedroFurtadoArts for designing it. Hopefully with further support he will continue to make more, and it may also encourage other relevant artists to consider including these types of poses, however minor, to their products as well.

Someone should probably tag the actual product in this thread, so https://www.daz3d.com/he-loves-him-poses-for-genesis-8-male

It might not have kissing, but it does have the obligatory couples pose of someone jumping on their partner's back!

Yep. We've got several lesbian/female couple pose sets in the store (usually under the auspices of coded titles like "girlfriends" that show women acting in ways most platonic female friends wouldn't) and some for het and same-sex poses within the same set, but nothing truly romantic for just male/male couples until now. I hope this set in particular inspires other pose-making PAs to expand their horizons to be more inclusive in the future, but that's ultimately their decision.

I'd like to add my sincere thanks to PedroFurtadoArts for creating this set.  I've placed this pose set in my wishlist and will be purchasing it soon.

    Thank you again!

I SOOOOOO THRILLED you guys liked it !!!
I completely agree that there is not enough content for our Daz Guys especially LGBTQ+ community.
I was advised to do straight/Lesbian/and gay couples poses instead however I really wanted to focus on male couples because as you said there is just no only male couple poses while there are so many straight couple's poses.
All I wanted with this set was to open barriers to PA's and create discussion.
And I'm so glad it did
    THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!

It's not like everyone can't use them regardless. They are good poses.
