EllessarrEllessarr Posts: 1,395

ok, i really get inrerested in the stuffs on that "sales" they really do look vert cool, maybe my only issue would be the "lack" of cowboy outfit and also maybe a "cowgirl" too, because the others 2 we actually get a "outfit" while the cowboy is just "weapons and poses", would be really awesome a "cowbioy and girl" outfits ", like maybe a "addon later, also a desert warrior for female too lol, but overal i really liked what i saw and omg with my hands "itching to buy it but first as aways i would love to know the poly count of all the outfits before i can proper buy then as aways since "high poly outfits aways is a issue for me

The sales title just seems to be the case of trying to come up with something that mentions the new products. I was looking for the cowboy stuff too. No idea on polys though.

yeah i agree, i feel which they missed a "good mark" on this one, because the "cowboy stuff" become underplayed or overestimated compared with the others 2 which had a cool outfit besides "props" and poses, would be really better if it had come too with a outift.

but overal still very good and is one of my favorie startists: Sixus1 Media, which normally does make "reasonable poly count outfits (normally a lot under the 100k count)", if i get the proper info about the outfit poly count then i will try to buy it later.

They look pretty awesome, but I (sadly!) have no use for them in the forseeable future. They definitely entered my wishlist though.

  • I really like the Bedu desert stuff.

The cowboy stuff while little, it instantly went to my whish list, cannot afford it right now but is a cool item, and decent value. Too bad its not also a DO for additional discounts.

The ninja stuff, well it does look nice. I feel like they are charging double with a male and female versions of everything. While i do understand that male and female models do need real adjustments (mostly in the chest) i see no stetic/artistic variantions in male/female ones, they should be in a single item charde only very slight more than single outfit. And weapons, why? only because a couple of the poses involve more than the hand? At least its cheap, but is still asking to buying twice the exact same weapons.

I snagged the ninja outfit and one of the weapons packs immediately as after I finish this project I'm on, my next one includes ninjas and I didn't have a good outfit. It looks awesome when rendered in a scene. I haven't picked something up that quickly in awhile.

Yup I grab the ninja outfit for G8F and the weapons pack myself. I already bought a ninja outfit for g8m at another store a few days ago i wish i would have waited now . But both are still very good costumes though

yeah somehow i hae the same "feelings" would be cool if male and female would have "some differences" asides "breasts", like some extra details in the uniform (not high heels lols), it make feel lik both are "the same outfit", and to be fair if you have the "cross-figure" you can make the "female version fit in a male character with little to none issues and looks the same.

The only draw back to the ninja outfit is it only comes with 1 texture color a brownish burlap . its not hard to change to black though. and the deforce was super effortless.

over all a nice clothing set

If higher poly count items are an issue, perhaps Decimator could be a big help: https://www.daz3d.com/decimator-for-daz-studio

It tends to go on sale down around $20-$30 fairly regularly.

well to be fair i was able to find out the poly count of the outfits and as aways Sixus1 Media don't disappointed me, when comes to "low poly he is one the best artists here, aways using more "normal map" than polygons, all the outfits have a reasonable number:

    dForce Ninjitsu G8F: 37,262
    dForce Ninjitsu G8M: 37,262
    Bedu Desert Warrior: 30,060

it's amazing, basically both male and female does have the same poly count and is really low, perfect for a game dev.

about the decimator, it really need a "huge improviment on how it's works, because his current state is very poor, it easy break weight influences and morphs if the "reduction is more than let's say 10% to 20% at best and it need some features like "choose specific parts of the outift to be reduced like for exemple a "buttom" like how you can select specific parts of the mesh with the geometry editor, for working outside daz (and even probably inside daz) only is good to a degree, i have it and tried to use countless time but aways ended dispapointed and feeling pointless it's usage, it need a big improviment/rework" to proper work, they could take a look at the "decimator" from lclone character creator, the decimator of iclone is miles ahead of daz decimator in functionality and actually can do what daz can't and pretty easy, it's not 100% perfect and have some flaws but compared with daz it's feel like daz is on the "stone age" while iclone is already in the current age of advancment and functionality, the creator "just create" and never did any thing to improve it.

Nice one. FYI, If you install the male suit as well, black textures materials show up for the female suit and brown textures appear for the male suit.

    Thanks Greybro smiley

Yeah I would have loved to been able to afford the whole bundle, i could only get couple of the parts of the set. like the outfit and weapons for genesis8 female.  But like i said changing the textures wasn't hard. I guess I was just expecting to see the black with the female suite too.   I used a Black/Blue Velvet shader over lay and looked pretty awesome on this render  Click for full size its huge..lol

We were gonna go with the keyhole option for the female but then....realism, historical acuracy and all that. Actually, it was the Sho Kosugi movies.

The promos show both black and brown - I'd say that was a bit misleading as there's no text to say it's not included. Then again, the promo text on the female page is for the male version so perhaps it does say it in the female version text originally...

Male version text says it works with female version textures so maybe that's what it meant.

Edit: Ok, they changed one of the words but not the rest:

Make your characters even deadlier with Ninjitsu for Genesis 8 Female.

This complete Ninja outfit for Genesis 8 Male...

I'm not complaining,  like i said i wish i could have bought the complete bundle.  ButI just didn't have it. So i got what could afford.  the g8f outfit and weapons pack was 1/2 the price of the bundle. which was exactly what i had left in my paypal.  after March madness my credit card looks like a deflated Whoopi cushion.

Maybe the end of this week I'll make some additional texture presets for it,  I have already have made a bunch of pose preset for the weapons tonight.  its a nice outfit I should get lots fo use from it in my animation series.

Cool - looking forward to Ninja-Karate-Girl (or whichever character uses it. Ninja vs. Karate Girl?)

Out of curiosity, did they include the ninja-to with the outfits? They don't seem to have it in the weapon packs, and it's in nearly all the promos for both kits.

Yes, I plan to get the lot here in a bit.

It's in the file list, and in the clay render.

Fell about laughing when I seen the main promo pics for the Ninja weapons, it's pretty clear who ever did the promos has never held a bow, the G8F promo she will be lucky if she doesn't shoot herself in the foot, the G8M promo that arrow is going to skite of his thumb and spiral away.

The arrow should sit in the "V" made by the knuckle of the index finger and the shaft of the bow, you also don't want to hold the bow vertical as there is a good chance the arrow will fall off the knuckle.

The Ninja To is included with each outfit for the respective figure.

That's sort of the general way bows are shot, and the promos are a bit sloppy, however...
