Name of "interior" product with 1984 "Dune" inspired detailing (SOLVED)

I'm wracking my brain trying to remember the name of a product (which may have been removed from the store).

It was an interior setting that vaguely resembled the Padashaw Emperor's throne room from the 1984 David Lynch directed version of "Dune", the seminal science fiction novel by Frank Herbert.  It even had an element that resembled the transport module for the 3rd Stage Spacing Guild Navigator, but was, for the product an extending throne dais.  In the product promos, the images had an overall greenish hue.

Sorry, I can't recall the vendor, either.

Yes, I AM confident it is (or was, if "retired") sold here rather than another store.

Sincerely,

Bill

I know the one you're talking about - it was by Moebius87, part of the Streets of Dystopia series.  Definitely been retired for some time, moebius isn't even a vendor here now.  Sad - I wlawys wanted that one, too. :(

Might that be Dystopia Destinations Audience Hall (retired)?

Thanks!  The Audience Hall, that's it!

Ooo, I almost forgot about that one! Wonder if it's going to be easily convertible to Iray...

(Just fixed up not-quite-but-good-enough Iray materials for Wings of Chaos, looking for a new conversion project.)

Yep, I really wish I had biought that one when it was available. I'd definitely be interested in picking it up but I don't think it is available anywhere anymore. crying

Fortunately, I did get Moebius' Audience Hall, Feng's Noodle Shop, Vistas A, & Waystation. Sadly, I failed to get his Hyperion Bar because I didn't realise what I could do with it in Iray.

Oh wow, I would have loved Hyperion Bar.

Yeah, same here. That's too bad. Hopefully I'm not treading into a sensitive topic but is it still available to purchase somewhere? Or just completely off the market forever? Sad to think someone might have spent that much time crafting something for it to no longer be available.

Unfortunately, they stopped selling such products due to piracy so there is no legal place to purchase the product.

That's too bad. Looks like the sets have aged well and should make for great renders for those fortunate enough to purchase them before they were retired.

I must admit I find it confusing they withdrew them from sale because people were allegedly pirating them and now only people willing to buy from pirates can get them crying

I own Hyperion bar and some of the other sets  and would have bought others had I known they were going to disappear but an not going to buy stuff illegally.

so who exactly is benefiting from this?

No so much benefiting but, at the time, the internet was smaller so that if someone stole something from the artist and put it out as a freebie, why would that new customer buy it rather than get it off a bootleg site?  The rules for digital products was evolving so the bootlegger could claim ownership of it and deny the artist of the right to sell the products in some countries.  The amount of work and the low profit margin plus the bootleggers drove them to the more profitable game modeling world.  People assume the problem with piracy is that they are steallng a sale when it is the chaos and confusion that they introduce is the problem.  It is way too easy to introduce a virus with those "free" downloads or steall email information which just spoils the artist's reputation.
One of those things people have noted is that there are sites that trade bootlegged 3d items and none of the people actually do any 3d rendering.  They just collected them since what pirates really steal is the joy of creating.

I'm glad I picked up Feng's when I did, and some of the other sets, but I too missed Hyperion bar - does anyone know of another set somewhere with a similar sci-fi bar vibe?

Feng noodle bar and those food booths only equivalents now are a very pricey Kitbash3D set I cannot afford angry

and to think I almost bought them in fastgrab just before they were pulled but had spent too much that week so thought no rush ...

Maybe take a look at this from Rendo:

This might be able to be adapted to a Guild Navigator tank in a pinch.  Just noticed it today in the Antfarm store:

Won't help for the rest of the throne room, but for close in shots maybe...

Thanks for the suggestion, but I wasn't really needing something for a "Dune" scene.  I just used those terms to describe the set.  Actually, I thought the cahmber might serve as a throne room for "Ming the Merciless" from "Flash Gordon" (pick your favorite version).  But when the link was provided upthread to show the retired product, I thought, "Meh, it's not exactly how I remember it.  Okay, it doesm't matter it's gone.  I have something else in mind."  Which resulted in this...

I decided to make it an outdoor scene where we can see a planet looming on the horizon through the clouds and a squadron of Ming's rockets launching to hunt down Flash.

    Sincerely,

    Bill

  •  I'm crushed that I didn't nab the Hyperoin Bar...that's some amazing property right there. Luckily I bought Feng's and only today did I open the shutter to see what was inside..guess I picked it up in a sale and forgot about it.
