Curly Bun hair causing posing paralysis

Hello -

Is there any way to keep Curly Bun hair from killing viewport posing other that deleting it from the scene? Merely turning it off does not seem to help. But I have definitely identified the hair as the issue.

Thanks.

If you select the hair is there an entry for mesh Smoothing (not Mesh Resolution) in the Parameetrs pane, under General? If so turn it off while posing.

That didn't help. I think that hair model is just too heavy for practical use.

In addition to Richard's suggestion (turning off the smoothing on the scalp), try also reducing the value of the "Viewport Line Tessellation Sides" parameter for the hair from 2 to 1.

Sorry, I hadn't realised this was dForce Hair - yes, reducing the complexity of he model in the Viewport should help.
