  I've been wondering the same thing, on a lot of those tutorials. You'd think the company that actually owns the program would have some complete tuts for it.

  Anyway.... Geek at play has a pumpkin tutorial. Doesn't really go into detail about how to do the face but does gives a quick example.

  My goal is to learn how to make clothing for kids4 and I order Adobe Photoshop Extended, I used Corel Draw for many years, anyway I figured a pumpkin shape would be a good place to start practicing since I get how it work but need much more practice with the software itself.

  This really helps teach me what does what.

  I'm a noob to Hexagon too. Still working on learning the software.

  But I recommend looking at the Tutorial thread pinned at the top. Lots of good stuff in there.

  I have been working on this pumpkin tutorial today and I was wondering if you could help me with a problem. On this he say to make a loop then deselect the two section at the top and bottom. I feel stupid asking, but how to you deselect? I tired everything and when I go to deselect the whole ring disappears.

  Hold down the shift key and click the edge you want to deselect. It should leave the rest of the loop selected.
