The item is still new and not meant to be part of the grouping. Daz has been notified. Any other new will have to be weeded out as it shouldn't work with new items.
Thanks Chris. That's what I thought. Is it the same for the two Dain bundles? Btw, you do an amazing job!
Correct, any new items. And thank you. :)
It looks like the bonus item with the 70% discount ( if you bought a new item in past 3 days) is changing daily. I don't think this happened last March.I am glad that the bonus female characters we have had so far are from different ethnic backgrounds. Hope we get some similar males soon.
yesterday..the coupons worked for that.
Daz has decided, on this occasion, to leave those items in the related madness list, so they should be working now.
The things coupon'd for 50% off yesterday are 60% off today...
Ok, not exactly. It was as a stacking discount I put it on things already at 50% off due to Mad Artist sales. Only one of those 3 is still on sale today, so I could only really have used the 60% off of one of them, which amounts to about a dollar difference. Not going to file a claim on that.
Just a bit frustrating, but it's the game we play here.
It's really not unlike shopping in the real world. But in the real world, you don't keep coming into the same store every day and looking at the same things again, every day, seeing the things you bought recently marked down further than when you purchased them. You probably wouldn't here, either, if it weren't for the Daily sales and Fast Grab that keep you checking in at least once a day; And the Blink sales that bring you back hourly, hoping that item you've been waiting to buy will be in the next one; And Flash sales that bring you back every couple of hours for the same reason.
The sales around here really are crazy. But then again, I don't think I've ever had as much fun shopping as I do here. And I've always loved to go shopping. Been doing it since long before the internet went mainstream, before 300 baud modems existed let alone became obsolete. In fact, I've been shopping since before IBM sold their first Personal Computer… When put that way, I sound really old. Oh, wait. I am really old!

You clearly haven't met one friend of mine... (well, not every day, but still...)
Anyone ifgured out how the new coupons are supposed to work?
I can't get make them to apply.
They are for the interactive licenses, not for the base items.
the new coupons not working innerspace and those. There are no definitions in small print, so to me, they should work on everything, but they're not working at all so far. I will try non-new items to see.
Makes sense, I was wondering what was the Interactive referring to. Thanks.
ah .. so useless to me. maybe good for someone. why doesn;t the link go to them, or how does that work?
They don't work on the items that they're linked to, in any case, as clicking SHOP HERE just takes you back to the front page of the store.
It does go to them. In a way. I mean, there are interactive licenses for most of the products in the store. You can buy the product, and you can buy an interactive license for the product, if you need to. For use in 3D games, for example.
Once upon a time, in Dazzyland, game developers, (and others who needed extended licensing of Daz/PA assets,) could spend thousands of dollars to purchase licensing on a per vendor basis. If you were an independent game developer back then, it was prohibitively expensive to use products from multiple vendors: $2K here, $3K there… and so on. So a couple years back, (I'm fuzzy on the timeline, as it wasn't something I needed,) Daz changed things up, adding licenses to the individual products. Even at full price, if you had three items to license, $35 each was still a lot more affordable than the $2K-$3K. And the new way of doing things made products available from vendors who didn't previously have extended license packages.
But the license comes before the product images on the product page, and generally makes the shopping experience less than ideal for those of us who couldn't care less about those licenses. But thanks to Overdrawn and Ati and the Daz Deals browser plugin, we can hide many things to make our shopping experience better, including the block of code that displays the Interactive Licenses. If you're like me, you've got those hidden.
Anyway, I went into the Options and disabled Hide "Optional License Add-Ons" section on product pages, allowing the license bit to show on the page. On the product page, I ticked the checkbox for the Interactive License and clicked on the Add to Cart button. Both the product and the license showed up in my cart. I applied the INTERACTIVITY coupon without issue. I also removed the product from the cart and the license remained. (That would be important for anyone who wants to purchase the license for a product they'd previously purchased.) Of course, as I have no need of the interactive license, I also removed it from the cart.
I hope this answers questions that might come up from those of us who don't need or use the interactive licensing.
Interactive license is just that, right?
I mean if you don't own the product and you purchase just the interactive license for it, there is nothing for you to use, you don't get the product together with the IL.
thanks..just shut off that interactive license paragraph
Correct.
We talk about purchasing the products, but in reality, we are purchasing a non-exclusive license to use the product in our renders, (still, animation, etc.) That license includes commercial uses, such as rendering an image which you sell to a client for use on their website, as an example. Using 3D assets in games requires including the mesh, if I recall correctly conversations from people who actually know these things, and the standard licensing doesn't include that usage. The interactive license extends the standard license specifically for uses where the mesh is required, so it's basically an "addon" to the product, which won't do you any good without the base product.
@daveso, You're welcome.

Has anyone seen this coupon?
I found it on my Facebook feed today and have no idea how to use it.
"Spend over $200, get an EXTRA 25% of..."
of what?
I've tried to use it to no avail...
(mod edit: image removed)
I thought I'd check the 'Honey' Chrome extension to see if that coupon would pop-up there, but no dice.
Trying that now...
I've established that it's not on Giftcards. That was the easiest thing to get to $201.
I've also established that it probably has to be on the total purchase, not the total before current discounts.
If I have to start weeding out new items, then I am just going to give up. At that point its not worth the effort.
The (mod edit) coupon does work on new items, but the total charge needs to be $200 after other discounts. Then apply the coupon.
Wait.. So there are Daz coupons not on Daz? WTH? Since when?
Daz sometimes posts coupons on their social media accounts.
It would be really, really nice if they posted them on Twitter or Instagram as well. Not everyone uses or wants to use Facebook but it would be nice to keep up to date with Daz news.
