I can never remember it so I tend to make up words for each letter.  Real words but not based on anything.

..getting expensive all over.  A few years ago Milwaukee WI was pretty cheap, I was finding fairly nice homes in my old 'hood (still la quiet in eh sense of crime, working class neighbourhood, the jets passing overhead landing or taking off from the airport notwithstanding), for under 100,000$,  I'm talking nicely cared for, not slummy 2 and even 3 bedroom homes. Breaking down all the monthly costs including property tax utilities and all, came to something like 50$ - 75$ more than what I paid for the single room I had at the last place I lived here in Portland.

Sadly I discovered many of those homes were snapped up by house flippers expecting the economy there to improve as the city recovers.

Trying to install Adobe CS6, but it wants Photoshop 2020 to be closed for some reason. Tried closing it but the installers says it is still open.

Check the Adobe website or chat or call Adobe helpline.  I believe they have some sort of tool that will remove all traces of old Adobe products.  LIke Norton, they have so many products that leave turds in the Windows Registry and garbage piles in the "ProgramFiles" folder that would take you much effort to remove manually.  i.e. talk to the experts.  'splain your problem, take their advice.

I heard a rumor of something or someone making the Pegasus galaxy a nightmare to live in so I would avoid it.

Complaint:  Old age.  Bah, humbug.  I've spent several hours over the last two days trying to resolve my bank checkbook, my bank checking summary, and my personal financial spreadsheet.  I finally got the two bank records to agree on a number but I wasn't sure it was the right number.  Also, after much weeping and gnashing of teeth, my spreadsheet finally resolved to being off by exactly 2 x $57.96 where $57.96 was a Paypal transaction where I had received money into my Paypal account and then I transferred that amount into my checking account.  Simple, right?  Arghhh.sad  My spreadsheet had been setup to automatically deduct outgoing Paypal payments from my credit card.  I also manually entered the transfer from Paypal into my checking account, but I put in the wrong sign (- instead of +) and I also put it into the savings deposit fields instead of the checking deposit fields.  I had wrong numbers all over the place and because of the confusion with Paypal and thinking that I had mistakenly pulled the money from Paypal's website twice by being impatient and mashing the transfer button again I was all confused.  Add that to doing this in the morning before the coffee has woken everything up, and my brain is prone to wandering, and the fact that I had recently reorganized my spreadsheet to accomodate more paypal fields and wasn't sure the new spreadsheet algorithms were 100% accurate again.  I was tearing my hair out.  Arghhhh.crying

Non-complaint:  But another sleepless night of worrying about my clumsy bookkeeping I resolved to figure it out this morning.  And yes Virginia, there is a happing ending.  I methodically examined my entries and compared the algorithm of the old spreadsheet with the new and when all the values were put into the right fields, the numbers all matched.  Checkbook, Bank Statement, and Spreadsheet.  Go Figure!surprise  Science is wonderful.  Ageing biology sucks!devil

Don't forget Massachusetts!  Problem is, no matter where, it's still illegal on the Federal level.

maryj and no state income tax, the trifecta of desirability.

many of my co workers are going to the carolinas.

looked at some reasonable places in Charlotte.

learned there are visa fees when going to live abroad.

not sure but i think 401k percents lower the tax bracket April irs day. just the incomes taxes.  ss and medicare stay the same.  over 55 they let us put more in. irs catch up.  i'm not at the max, wish i could.
i gonna try raising it 5% increments see what it equals to on pay day.  hard to predict, i don't understand how the brackets work.

real estate in Charlotte is not going down anytime soon and the suburbs are growing rapidly. If you're going to come to the land of Ranch Dressing and Sweet Tea I'd consider planning sooner than later.

Thought so as I never think of going to a beach when visiting my brother who lives near Charlotte.

Remember everyone has their own opinion and experience.  I can love it in NC but person X can hate it and person y can just like it while person z can loathe it.

Can anyone find a way to mathematically quantify how strong a goat is? I need this for not-at-all-ridiculous reasons.

...that would be Washington State or Nevada. but both have sales taxes. Oregon has a state income tax but no sales tax.  California is the worst as it has both a state income and sales tax as well as local sales taxes.

the outer banks are about 3/4 hours, no bus or train that I know of. the mountains are an hour or two away

there are two large lakes around Charlotte, but the residential property makes it difficult to find an actual beach to go read a book

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Norman
    in Charlotte

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Wylie
    also in Charlotte

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Lure,_North_Carolina
Lake Lure is about 2hrs from the city

    https://www.biltmore.com
The house is about 3 hours from the city but Asheville has got a very hippy vibe and excellent restaurants

any state park you go to will tell you they filmed "Dirty Dancing" or "Last of the Mohicans", apparently North Carolina has only been home to two movies, even though the Biltmore House was used in "Being There", no one talks about that one; too artsy.

Charlotte from when I moved down here about a dozen years ago has changed dramatically and the city skyline has quadrupled in size, so has the population.
