A question about Content creation

edited December 1969 in Daz Studio Discussion

I broke down & tried my hand at creating clothes for Genesis, well, altering Fisty's Modeling dress base in hexagon & following the tutorials to make it a conforming figure to Genesis. Simple enough, but the tutorials were lacking on how to save the new clothing in DS4 for future usage. I've tries saving it as a character file...tried as a dsf character...& all I have are the png. images...nothing else. What's the secret to having the clothes saved in DS? :blank:

I don't have DS4 here, but it should be Save as dsf Figure, although this may have changed in the DS4.5 RC version.

Yes, File>Save as>Support Asset>Figure/Prop Assets. Then the Author will be the name of the folder in the \data folder, and the Product will be a folder for that item in the Author folder (so use the same Author, but vary the Product name per item, to keep everything together).

This is kind of tricky, but then again I'm not very clever.
